Lovely little tea room - visited with my mum who had the ‘daily special’ of vegan haggis, mozarella and tomato wrap and I had a glamorgan cheese & leek sausage butty. Both meals along with our warm drinks served in cozy tea cups were really good quality. The staff are also really nice and friendly. Dogs welcome too!

Don’t usually go for a carvery, experienced soggy veg and over cooked roasties before. Got to say, it’s by far the best we’ve had.Excellent value, great choice and piping hot. Lots on offer other than the usual, really well cooked and even a huge chocolate fountain too. Definitely recommend and will revisit soon.

We have visited this pub on numerous occasions over the years, and generally enjoyed it. However, we visited for lunch (Saturday 23rd) and were really disappointed. Firstly we made the mistake of eating in the bar, very cliquey, the ladies working in the bar were far more concerned with the regulars than myself and my wife, but that is fine, we were there for food nothing else ( they also turned over the television while I was watching the football, but hey ho) Now to the food, I don’t know if this place has changed hands/chef/ suppliers or all three, but the food was terrible, the pate that used to be so tasty was awful, the onion rings, were so greasy and tasteless, the cheese and onion pie was stodgy like damp cement, and the coffee like dishwater. The chips, chutney and sauces were very nice though Did we complain, no we did not, the reason being, the ladies behind the bar were completely dis-interested in us, didn’t ask if we enjoyed our food or wanted any dessert, we finished, paid and left, probably never to return, it is a real shame that this place has fallen so far, it was a real gem, WAS!!
