The best restaurants serving British food in Kew Sefton North West

My partner and I stopped off at this cafe for lunch when arriving in Southport. On the car journey there, I looked at places for lunch and Hideaway came up in the recommendations. We both ordered a panini - the mozarella, sweet chill and chicken for me and a tuna mayo one for my partner. The paninis were a generous size and came with salad on the side. We both ordered a drink with this - soft drink and an americano. The total came to just over £20 which we didn’t think was too bad considering the size and quality of the food. I would certainly recommend this place for a lunch stop but also if you’re looking for something more fulfilling as the menu offers a rang of larger meals including a breakfast menu.

Food was really poor quality, no flavour, all frozen nasty cheap stuff. Left most of mine it was that bad. Shame as this place used to be packed out. On a positive - friendly staff behind the bar, chatty and sincere.

We had an amazing evening at The Richmond tonight! I feel so lucky to have such a great local pub. Michelle and her team truly are doing a fantastic job. The staff are always 100% fantastic, especially with my son, who has additional needs. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure he feels welcome and comfortable, which means so much to us as a family. The food was absolutely outstanding as always – cooked to perfection and served with a smile. There were seven of us in total, and every single one of us was impressed with the service, the quality of the meals, and the warm, friendly atmosphere. The Richmond truly sets the standard for what a great local pub should be. Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming environment. We’ll definitely be back soon
