The best restaurants serving British food in Prescot East Knowsley North West

The BEST cakes in Merseyside. The whole menu is great, always a fantastic selection on the cake counter (stuff you won't see anywhere else), and it's all home made and fresh. And it's very dog friendly! What more could you ask for!

What can I say? Prescot will truly see the end of several eras when Ray’s bakery is sold. Pies, cakes, celebration cakes, bread, scones, mince pies are truly second to none. Many of the cakes are the same recipes I enjoyed as a small child. My aunt used to send me with her shopping list when I couldn’t see over the counter. When I was at high school we would get off the bus on the way home and buy a bag of “brokes” - better than a lucky bag! A “Ray’s Buffet” has been the backdrop of many family occasions, happy and sad. You can actually increase the turnout to a funeral in Prescot with the promise of a “Ray’s Buffet”. The cafe was lovely and is much missed. I will be stocking my freezer before the closure!

Took my young grandson for a steak, en enjoyed it

Never been in here before but will definitely go again. Lovely food for the price. Very friendly and attentive staff. Glasses and food dishes cleared very quickly.
