The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Originally we had booked somewhere close to a venue we were attending. However on arrival the accommodation was not as expected and we needed to find somewhere else to stay. We contacted 32 Torporley and spoke to Ben who sorted us out with a room. On arrival Ben couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel and our room was amazing with everything we needed. The complementary snacks and cereals were a nice touch. All the staff we met were very friendly. We were unable to sample the restaurant food as we were attending a concert however we will definitely return in the near future. Highly recommended 5*

Six of us had our annual golf and Christmas lunch. First class service from the staff and the two chefs provided an excellent three course festive menu. Fantastic high quality food.

Called for a take out brunch before travelling back to the northeast. Same excellent quality, same friendly staff. 1 Bacon barmcake and 1 club sandwich later we were well fed and very happy we had called. Due to covid they have set up a table at the doorway with copy menus taped to it, and a bell to ring for service if no one in the shop. There were a couple of chairs outside to rest on while you waited or the friendly lass serving said we could go back to our car and she would give us a shout when ready.

Amazing food great prices and fab customer service would recommend. Waffles are nice and soft and they do some really good offers and combinations

Nipped in for a quick bite whilst waiting for a friend. I opted for the breakfast Bap, and it was lovely. Great filling and nice crusty bread

Excellent service and great full English and breakfast cobs with extras. We arrived a little after the 11.30 end of breakfast, but were still able to have breakfast, we also had a cafetiere for 4. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Just what we needed after our 4 mile walk along the beach.

One of the cutest little coffee shops, right by the promenade. Very little room inside, but plenty of seating outdoors. Chocolate brownies are a definite speciality, fudge too. We stopped off for coffee and cake, trying two brownies plus a bakewell blondie. A real treat was the square of fudge they give you free with your hot drink. Expecting it to be quite expensive, I was relieved to be told that they accept card payments, I was also pleasantly surprised by the final bill. Will definitely return…very soon. Open daily Wed-Sun. Woodies cafe is spot on for a proper hearty fry up! I live in Ashton under-lyne and still travel an hour just for a woodies cafe. The staff are friendly and always happy to help Would highly recommend woodies to all my friends

Esta es la segunda vez en unas pocas semanas de la primera visita. Fui por primera vez con mi compañero y segundo con mi sobrino, tomé el desayuno las dos veces. Está recién preparado y muy caliente y sabroso, sin duda lo recomendaría. Ambas damas son amables y muy acogedoras.

Fantastic little club, with a great course and even better food. A warm welcome at the little gem. Green keepers clearly know what they are doing as the course is in great condition. And to top it off the food quality is a real treat thanks to the fabulous chef 👍

We looked for a bar in Southport with music. We stumbled on Coopers. There was a cracking band on. The place is quite intimate and everyone was friendly. We’ll definitely go again.
