The best restaurants serving British food in Wallsend North Tyneside North East

Pleasant & interesting local roman site with a super viewing tower overlooking the site of the roman fort, at the moment the baths are closed for refurbishment so £1 discount is given on the entrance fee. The original baths are a little further across from the site where the previous ship inn public house was .. these were discovered underneath when demolished, nice museum & displays & the café food is very tasty offering hot meals & snacks also the staff are lovely .. very friendly.

I'm lactose intolerant and I didn't get sick from the food here?!!?

With great sadness this place served the community with good food and some great friendly people both as regular customers and lovely staff a great miss to the community

Was charged £7.30 for small sausage chips & curry sauce. Chips were dry & cold. The woman serving me ignored me for a few minutes while she asked/shouted at someone on other side of counter to go to aldi to get her some fruit & veg. Over priced awful food from a rude ignorant staff member - I definitely won't be back!!

We were looking for a quick light lunch, nothing fancy and we happened on Dom's. The food is very much what you would expect from a local cafe. There is a good range of all day breakfasts and burger's plus some basic lunches. We went for bacon and egg sandwiches from the all day breakfast with a mug of tea. It all turned up quickly, it was well cooked and tasted good. The service was friendly and welcoming and the cafe was very clean with a hygiene rating of 5. Payment is cash only. We would be happy to eat here again if we return to Wallsend.
