The best restaurants serving British food in Gresham Middlesbrough North East

My parents live in Eston and whenever we visit them we always come to The Stap for some lunch. We were there on Friday and as always we had a great lunch. The food is always spot on, yes it is pub grub but it is GOOD pub grub. I usually have a sandwich but tried something new and had Mac Cheese - tasty and cheesy. My wife had the fish and chips and I had food envy. The batter was crispy and the fish soft and tasty. All the food was hot and all eaten. We have never had a bad meal at The Stap and we will continue to come every time we visit.

Although the staff were good the food not very hot the beef full of grizle the Brussels hard but the desert were very nice we did get a discount for downloading their app

There was a party of 12 when there today and we where not disappointed with the food and severe The food was cooked very good and piping hot We all had different from the menu and we all said the same itwas very good and yes we be back

Room was well appointed, but the lighting level, especially over the desk, was quite dim. This could have been improved by the provision of a desk lamp. The restaurant served great food at extremely good prices and with impeccable service.

Worst service ever .. rubbish portion of garlic over price … pizza undercooks … hairs in my food .. would not recommend at all.. drinks all ice no liqueur

Food was nice, a member of staff was extremely rude and abrupt, unprofessional to the point she slagged her own team members off where customers where, felt really uncomfortable .

Not bad for cocktails. Used to stop by for one or two. Crowd are a bit lame. Or at least they have when I've been in.
