I was in the area and in need of somewhere to park up for the night, I’ve used coopers cabin once before but never tried Risby TruckStop and thought I’d give it a go. They accept SNAP so booking in was easy, I was greeted by a guy on the way in who took my name and registration then he told me where to park based on what time I was leaving in the morning. Having never been here before, I walked over to the toilets and saw there was a diner that was open so took a look what was on offer. The staff were very polite and helpful and explained I had £5 off of food as I was parking overnight. I ordered my dinner based upon seeing another ‘very happy’ truckers meal and within 10/15 minutes or so my food was bought over to me. It was very nice, hot and fresh and well worth the money. From the feeling I got, they sound like they are under new management and I heard a guy saying they are going to refurbish the driver facilities. I did use the facilities and they were clean and tidy. The restaurant was very welcoming and looked freshly painted. The Truck parking area is hard standing with no huge potholes and in good condition. They also have a truck wash here that’s open during the day. I will definitely use this place again and will definitely consider stopping for the occasional breakfast or lunch here when passing. Well done to everyone at Risby TruckStop who are clearly putting in the effort.

Lovely traditional pub in a lovely setting with large car park to the rear. We went for a family getogether & meal. The food is lovely with a good choice & ability to adapt the choices as it is all home made & fresh. The portions are massive. Everyone is friendly & hospitable the price is excellent less than £80 for 5 mains & 3 puddings. An old style traditional pub not trying to pretend it is anything else. We don't live locally but if we did we would definetely be locals, what an asset to the area.
