The best restaurants serving British food in Gislingham Mid Suffolk East of England

We stopped off for the first time yesterday as having passed by may times sow e thought lets give a go. First impressions were good but beware of low beams if your 6ft. We were kept waiting so long that we were on the verge of walking out but we were glad we stayed as the cream tea and coffee were very good and we will be stopping off there again and the waiting time was a one off.

Very friendly staff, efficient service food to die for.Had Stilton broccoli soup with cheese roll 😋 piping hot and very tasty. Cheese scone warmed and delicious on this occasion. Definitely going back with friends soon .

Lovely freshly cooked wholesome British food, with some interesting twists on the specials board, more than just pub grub. I had steak, tomato and almond pie, mashed potato, carrots, cabbage and green beans followed by damson Panna cotte

really enjoyed an evening meal in this lovely old pub , the food is good but not exceptional, but good value good and attentive service,
