Just had a fantastic meal with my family as a belated mother's day treat. Service was first class & atmosphere was cordial, it was during the day so no children which made it more relaxing. Would recommend the lasagne it was amazing.

1st visit to the Dabbling Duck. The food, service and atmosphere excellent. I cannot comment on the rooms as we went for a meal which was excellent. I would highly recommend. Definitely worth a visit.

For years we have treated ourselves to lunch at the Sandringham Restaurant around Christmas, but since the Deborah Steward company ceased running the restaurant it has gone seriously downhill. This year on 28th December was the nail in the coffin! On arrival, the restaurant was about half full. The apologetic waitress siad there was an hour's wait for any hot food except for soup as they had been very busy. As we didn't want to wait for an hour, we ordered the soup. Ten minutes later we were told all the soup had gone, but we could wait for a different type of soup to be made. Half an hour later, two bowls of very good tomato and basil soup arrived, however the accompanying bread turned out to be a slice of white sliced bread each. It felt like a Candid Camera episode and I felt very sorry for the waitresses dealing with the situation. I hope Queen Camilla doesn't pop in for lunch!

This is the best restaurant in the area- by a lot. We ate here 3 nights running after high tailing it out off the Rose & Crown and finding the Old Bank closed for a private function. The menu was different each night with plentiful fish specials. Elevated cuisine beautifully presented, if somewhat small portions. We thought it reasonably priced. The cheese course is not to be missed! Great staff & pretty room only add to the experience. Lots of healthy options…yummy warm gluten free bread, even a delicious gluten free berry crumble for dessert with diary free coconut ice cream! We tried almost the entire menu & never had a bite we didn’t enjoy.
