The best restaurants serving British food in Three Fields Braintree East of England

Food carts in the back are brilliant but it's not a cosy pub and seems a bit "old boys"!

First time visiting since reopening. Host was welcoming and lovely and cosy inside with the fires going. Good selection of drinks. Went there for evening meal. Food was made with quality ingredients, tasty, nicely presented, and good portion sizes.

Delicious Jacket potatoes, amazing cakes, very good tea and excellent service. Lovely atmosphere inside and nice views from the window.

Was recommended by friends for a family lunch and didn’t disappoint. We both had classic burgers with rosemary fries and potato puffs to share. Can’t wait to come back and try a different burger from the menu.

A wonderful pub in a very pretty village. We stopped by The Finchingfield Lion for lunch and a swift half after a dog walk and were so glad we did! We were welcomed with a smile and had 3 of the best pizzas I think we've ever had! Seriously considering moving to Finchingfield now, just for the pub! :)

Visited finchingfield for the first time today and popped into the fox for some lunch. Great old pub with lots of beer choice. The burger was incredible. Really tasty and lots of it. My wife had the lamb roast and said it was one of the best she has had. Definitely come back. 👍

This place has the potential to be amazing and I have no idea why people go here It’s chaotic, unorganised, dirty and the staff just don’t really have any passion or enthusiasm to work there This paging system has to go It’s so disruptive and creates such a chaotic, terrible service system You get better in McDonald’s Food average and over priced as far as I’m concerned! Those paper pouches of salt HAVE to go! For a place with higher pricing- come on you can do better and find the effort to put some good salt on the table Utter shambles
