The best restaurants serving British food in Bumpstead Braintree East of England

Always welcoming. I'm an outsider visiting local friends for many years

A lovely little garden centre, lots of options and laid out well. The shop inside hosts several local companies work that you can buy, but there wasn’t much stock there. The cafe is a bit hit and miss, the tea is always very good, but on this occasion the food was not the greatest. Small portion sizes, the sweet potatoes fries were soggy and it took a while for ours to come. Closing on a positive however, the people who work there are lovely, smiley and happy to help.
