Really quite bad experience culminating in paying restaurant prices for wines that are quite clearly bought from the local shop or supermarket!! How can an establishment expect members of the public to folk out almost £20 for a bottle of wine that cost no more that £5, literally around the corner!!

Amazing food. My and my fiancée came for a meal and I couldn't recommend this place enough. The service was brilliant and the food was out of this world. I have heard the Sunday lunch is great I will definatly be trying that very soon.

Not good! Two fish and chips, fish was very wet and batter not at all crisp. One other meal came with under cooked chips and the served burger was not liked, the forth meal was acceptable. To the pubs credit one meal was not charged for. Whether it was not the regular chef I know not. Other reviews seem decent enough.

They didn't ask us to pre-order. There were 14 of us, seated at 2 tables - a table of 10 and a table of 4, which wasn't ideal. We had to wait over an hour for the main course, then over half an hour for dessert. The food was lovely and well-presented when it eventually arrived. If we go again, I think we should pre-order and also ask for the table layout to be different, so that we can all sit together.

We booked a room & breakfast 12 mths in advance for a close family friends wedding. 4 days prior to the wedding we received a cancellation notice from The Unicorn Inn stating there had been a flood which effected multiple rooms and they had had to cancel our booking. Clearly this was not the truth as all rooms at the Inn had been booked by wedding guests, and when we spoke to friends nobody else had been cancelled. On the day of the wedding we had friends confirm that all rooms had been occupied. So the truth was that The Unicorn Inn had double booked and although we booked 12 mths in advance of the date & paid in full by random selection we were the unlucky ones. Thank you for the stress Unicorn Inn for last minute having to find another hotel.
