The best restaurants serving Brasserie food in Yorkshire and The Humber

ordered a few times from here but tonight's was by far the best! as a veggie it is hard to find a take away to accommodate but stack shack will do any of their burgers with the veggie patty. Today we decided on the buffalo blue cheese for a change and my god it was deelishhhhh. highly recommend for good food and fab service

Lady was incredibly rude from start to finish. We were told we could have a table for 90 minutes which was fine. The food came quickly but my vegetable linguine was very bland! Friends had the salmon one and said it was tasty. The restaurant had organised for a couple of photographers to do some marketing shoots for them. The first we knew of this was when we saw one of them filming from the side of all of the diners. We were not asked our permission by anyone nor were we told a about it when we asked for a table. When I asked who we assume is the manager what they were doing and where the photos were going to be, I got a blunt answer that they weren't filming customers so it didn't matter..when I challenged this and said we were definitely on the film , she walked away rolling her eyes. She was very rude!! When I asked the photographer straight after whether we were in any of the photos / videos, he said "oh, do you know want to be? I'll delete the ones with you in"... Quite different to what we had been told. We were keen to support an independent place on our visit to York instead of a large chain but definitely regret this decision. Avoid this place! (The young waitresses and waiters were lovely and we couldn't fault them but the other lady is rude, the food not great and came out far too quickly for it to be fresh and the customer service was shocking!!

Absolutely vile I ordered 3 chicken fillet spicy burgers and they decided to give me chicken grilled tika burgers that was over cooked and burnt that wasn’t even a big issue then they decided to give the most oilyest driest chips that are not even edible to eat which had a really bad foul smell coming from them like as if they had double fried then the grilled chicken in the burger was very hard to chew and bite not a very good experience extremely disappointed I was looking forward to this

My son worked here for 2 months. Still not been paid. So do not use.... Disgust ing that they still open

Clean and comfortable venue. Staff pleasant and helpful. Food tasty. Will be much better when hot drinks are available especially as winter is coming.

The best chicken in my life!! It was amazingly cooked with the perfect amount of seasoning. Would definitely recommend this place for some tasty chicken!

this place was actually really good to start with and I have been there few times with my family but recently its nothing but terrible today the chicken was pink and under cooked the sauces have been diluted with water, the rice was tasteless and the salad was old ... if I could give 0 starts I would happily do so ....staff are friendly but clueless ...... no cash machine either !!!!
