The best restaurants serving Brasserie food in Wiltshire South West

We came in by pure chance, what a charming little cafe style restaurant. Decorated fabulously creating a lovely ambience. The staff were really nice, polite, friendly, communicative and effusive about the food choices. I opted for a chicken, pepper and caramelised onion wrap with a side of chips. The chicken was moist and the vegetables and sweet chilli sauce were delicious. The wrap itself was thin and well folded, a skill in itself. The chips were also fab. My partner ordered the roasted butternut squash salad which was said to be equally delicious and was a great portion of food. Would definitely return next time we are in Chippenham.

Went for a beer and Sunday lunch. Pub looked very nice from outside and service was good. Butcombe Gold was the ale. Ordered two Sunday roasts.. beef (£16 each). The food came out quite quick and looked good but the beef was poor. It was very chewy and extremely fatty. All veg, Yorkies and gravy was good though. Waitress spoke to us after the meal and asked if all was okay. We said yes, except for the beef as you can see, most of it has been left .. it is very chewy and mainly fat. She apologised and that was it. Sorry to say, but will not be returning.
