Oh I miss this place so much! Can’t wait for this dreadful situation to improve and for HSS to reopen its doors. I’m longing for the Social Smash and a Mrs C’s coffee!

I’d heard of Colliery 19, but never got around to going there….until this evening, and we’re so glad we did. The food was wonderful and the staff so very attentive and totally customer focussed. It was lovely that some of the trainee chefs came to our table and asked for our opinion on the course they’d prepared. This just added to what was already a lovely experience. I think we’ll be going back, and soon.

I love this place. Super friendly staff, lovely coffee and breakfasts suitable for all dietary requirements. The deli is also a lovely addition where I can purchase the lovely coffee to have at home too. I can’t recommend this place enough- if you’ve not yet visited, give it a try!

The burger was fine it was the overcooked (burnt) chicken that could not even be cut as it was cooked to a cinder. Bought two sadly at £15 for one totally not worth it.

Where else would you see a cafe surrounded by several flocks of sheep? 🐏🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑 On a Welsh mountain side in the middle of the Brecon Beacons, that's where! What a unique and enjoyable experience; sipping hot freshly made coffee, munching a lovely bacon 'butty' with the breeze blowing through the valley. Plus, a 'captive' audience, each one of the woolly creatures in the audience hoping for a free sample from my bread roll. No luck there I'm afraid. Good quality burger, fresh bun and great service from the proprietor. Will definitely use again.

Richard called out to complete a service on our coffee machine, he is always extreamly friendly, professional and knowledgeable. While at our place of business he did a repair on our commercial dishwasher we couldn’t get going, and took the time to check it over and wait to make sure it was working spot on before leaving. Cortile coffee really are a fantastic company, quick to respond to any questions and call outs are incredibly efficient. Would recommend to any business 5*

I'm Coeliac and don't eat out often, and the area I currently live in is pretty much non existent for takeaway options. I decided to take a gamble and order the pizza with my non gluten free partner. First and foremost, I have never been ill from cross contamination from this restaurant, amd we have ordered from here several times since. Given the type of restaurant and the sheer volume of allergens present, this is a testimony to the level of care the chefs show to allergies here. Whilst I've never eaten in the restaurant, I can imagine the food is even nicer freshly delivered in person vs sitting on my counter for an hour. The staff is always friendly when we've called, the delivery is ridiculously quick, and the price is more than reasonable given the portion sizing. It's the first time in a decade of eating gluten free I've compared the size of my gluten free pizza to someone's regular one and not felt overcharged. The crust tastes nice, it's thin, crispy, and you can even fold it which makes the pizza taste better. (this is my hill, thank you). Anyway, to any Coeliac or gluten intolerant person in the area, give this place a try. Their number is programmed in my phone.

Visited today (sundau 11/05) and was greeted by the lady . She was very polite and helpful. We ordered tea and roasted tea cake whixh was absolutely lovely. The toast thst followed too was lovrly . The egg timer with the tea was lovely and reminded me of Flash Gordon (if you know you know…..) Nice to see so many people in there on a Sunday morning enjoying rhe facilities and the sun !! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing! Diolch Yn Fawr

Having seen the reviews, we popped in here for a quick brunch during a brief visit to Aberdare. This community is so lucky to have a place like this and I thoroughly recommend it. The Hyb is really clean, bright and spacious and well looked after. The staff in the cafe were really polite, efficient and friendly. Our 2 coffees, porridge with honey and berry compote and bacon and avocado toasted brioche bap were perfect and all for £12.80. Really good value. We were also really pleased to read about the Hyb's 'Pay it forward' scheme which invites you to buy food/drink items to be used by people in need. The staff give you a receipt to stick on a board and anyone in need can pick it up and get free food/drink. What a lovely way to make an anonymous 'act of kindness' and one which we were inspired to do. We'll certainly go there again if passing in/near Aberdare.

I come here almost every week, this is some of the best pizza I've had in my life, and it's so affordable too, incredible stuff i adore this place

Good Quality food and nice friendly atmosphere

The food was absolutely incredible!! Such excellent quality and taste. We visited for the day looking around the area. Thai is my favourite food and was very excited when I realised that there was a local Thai restaurant. The staff were friendly and allowed us to grab some drinks from the corner shop to go with our meal. The food was incredible, fantastic portion sizes and extremely tasty, it tasted no different to the Thai restaurants in the capital 💕 thank you so much xx

Being fairly new to the area this bakery is a superb find. Beautiful iced birthday cake, Chocolate fudge sponge and Christmas cake superbly finished and delicious. Thank you very much, will be regular customers x
