The best restaurants in Monmouthshire South Wales

As a regular visitor to this jewel of a cafe the service (as always) today was fabulous, hot drinks made to the strength you like and always fresh cakes and treats. But what makes this place is the staff, always super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Special mention today to Angharad who was very attentive and kept my tea topped up. Great to catch up with all the family

Always a friendly welcome. Good coffee, good selection of food and homemade cakes . Easy to find in the centre of town. Thoroughly recommend

I was here for an outdoor cinema and came to get a pizza before the show, quick, efficient and the owner was lovely, cannot recommend enough

What a lovely pub!! We had a table of 9 with dogs and they couldn’t have been more accommodating! Beautiful Sunday roast, a good selection of starters and traditional hot puddings. We had a selection of beef, pork, chicken and lamb and all meat was cooked beautifully and plenty of veg with a really tasty proper gravy!! Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon! Found by accident really when looking for site, with hard standing!!!! Near friends in Pontypool. Dale and his father were very very welcoming. Facilities great and very clean. EHU was a bonus, especially in the winter months. Was made very welcome in the nights we went into the pub. Hopefully they will serve food again. Fully understand difficult at the moment as Dale suffering with poorly foot bless him. Would only like to suggest time on and time off due to the very narrow road in, especially for a caravan. We were delighted to discover The Pantry yesterday. Although it was near closing time they happily accommodated 5 of us. Absolutely super food. The service was outstanding and the lady who served us was so very pleasant and convivial. We all throughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it

I had seen Facebook posts about this place and it did not disappoint. Friendly service and extremely tasty burgers at a fraction of the cost of other eateries. Food was fresh and all hand made, if I lived in Monmouth I would be coming here all the time.

Came up from Cardiff to the market , came across Nosh as wandering around.Food was absolutely delicious . Made from scratch, excellent service, so friendly . Huge portions and really high standard. Definitely returning! Thanks and well done to all working in Nosh and running the business 👍

The best cocktails in the Country with classic and fancy cocktails that you can’t stop drinking one after the other. The service was amazing and they all seemed happy and we loved the chat we had with them. Great job.

Interestingly it's possible this Subway might not be here for long, which is a shame because it's rather good. Great service from (I think her name was Jade?), who made an excellent BMT and provided good portions of the contents, which these days is rare at Subway. My order was made efficiently and correctly, and there was plenty of room to eat in. Please keep this Subway open, it's a good en.

Had the festive burger meal, absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. The burger was juicy with good flavour, the brie was creamy and the cranberry sauce gave sweetness.
