Although primarily catering for golfers, Hayley the force behind Halz has attracted many visitors for her excellent lunch menu. Her Sunday carvery is arguably the best in Wrexham,in terms of quality, quantity, and value. She serves food every day except Monday from early morning until tea time. Certainly worth a visit if in the area.

Met to discuss PAT dogs with a fellow PAT dog owner. It isn't easy to find if you follow the sat nav but there are signs - on the business park. I loved the fact that it's all about dogs which is rare - dogs are allowed off the lead and my little dog had a great time playing with the other dogs. Lovely food too ! I shall be returning.

Nice food, but nothing special for a Christmas meal, delay in clearing the table between main meal and desert. Also quick to say we had a two hour slot when their delay. Hence 4 star and not 5 Paid in full before we went and they were happy to give refunds for those that couldn’t come minus £5 deposit so this was excellent service.

Lovely spot in the village. Prices quite steep for a basic breakfast, however the food was hot and fresh and arrived very quickly after ordering. One recommendation, try using premium sausages. The ones used were very poor and for the price would have expected better.

Ordered online and had a very poor order delivered. Prawn Puree Starter - a minute amount in the tray. Less than 25% full, which arguably turned out to be a blessing as there was so much undercooked garlic in it that it was inedible. Nothing like how it usually is. Mixed kebab starter - horrendous. The lamb pieces were not just tiny but were all gristle. See pic. Inedible again. Keema rice - pretty much flavourless except for a horrible after taste. Like too much ghee was used. Madras - much darker than usual and didn’t taste great. Tiny pieces of chicken in it and very few of them. Not good. Very disappointing experience from a place that we have ordered from many times. I wouldn’t have guessed this came from Tava, such is the gap in quality from what they usually serve. It was so disgusting it’s gone straight in the bin. Just wish I’d taken more pictures to demonstrate how poor it was. 0/10.

I'm going to be honest, I'm baffled by the positive reviews? We called in on our way back from Erddig Parkrun for breakfast after a recommendation. There were 3 tables of 4 to a table of us. We were shouted at that "we should have pre-ordered". We weren't aware, so apologies, but in our defence, nowhere is it stated that pre-orders should be made? We didn't expect our food to be arriving all at the same time, as in the 12 of us, but we could reasonably expect it to arrive a table at a time? If you're providing tables and chairs to accommodate around 24-28 people, surely you should be able to serve them? We asked for oat milk - I have a lactose intolerance. Not available. I had almond but if you had a nut allergy too, this would be impossible. We all got our drinks haphazardly - mine was lukewarm. I didn't complain because I couldn't be bothered after all of the chaos of drinks not being delivered table by table. Out of our party of 12, 3 of us hadn't got our orders an hour and a half after ordering. One lady, who is Dairy intolerant also, was given a "vegan breakfast" with eggs on it. She had to send it back and point out that the menu said 2 hash browns and toast - she'd received no toast and 1 hash brown. When her toast arrived, it had butter on it. She had to send it back. We had to request a refund as my food hadn't arrived and I had to get going. Lovely surroundings, chaos in service and food delivery. Sorry but giving Dairy free people Dairy is not good; neither is not serving people within 90 minutes.
