Lovely spot in the village. Prices quite steep for a basic breakfast, however the food was hot and fresh and arrived very quickly after ordering. One recommendation, try using premium sausages. The ones used were very poor and for the price would have expected better.

A regular meeting place. Warm, friendly cafe in the centre of the village. Excellent service, reliably good food and coffee. Can recommend the bacon baguettes.

We had lunch here today. Delicious home made soup and Welsh Rarebit. And a well made pot of tea. We had pizza the other evening which was also delicious.

Visited Maggies twice whilst camping over the other side of the river, first time was for a coffee, the 2nd was for a breakfast. Lovely little cafe with lots on offer and a hub for the village with locals and out of towners visiting, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly, only problem was we ate outside and the wasps were all over us within minutes so I’d suggest eating inside

We stayed in Wrexham overnight at a place without breakfasts. So as we headed on a long familiar crosscountry route eastwards, Maggie's was just right for timing. I was on the doorstep just as it opened. The welcome, the food, the place and its cleanliness all suited us to a T(ea). It overlooks the centre of the village where it was easy to park even though it was a Saturday. That may not be the same later in the day, of course. The area around is lovely, with the River Dee close by. We'll be back.

Delicious Welsh rarebit washed down with great coffee. Felt rude not to share a carrot cake which was equally scrum. Two sausages bagged as we paid so looking forward to trying them as stuffed!

We ordered a takeaway BBQ chicken pizza and a slice of orange & dark chocolate cake. Service was speedy and both were delicious.

Staff were super friendly! There was so many drinks to choose from, and the food was available to take away. Cleanliness was not an issue either. However the food… let’s just say I would have rather made myself some lunch.

Very good food and good service. Other people said it was very good. A popular place. We will definitely go again.

I don’t generally leave reviews but I feel the need to warn others about the take away from Smash & Dough. Firstly, the delivery was awful! We ordered via Just Eat and were given a delivery estimate of between 30mins - 1hr. The 1hr mark comes and goes so we look at the app to find the deliver window extended. The new estimated time again comes and goes with no update. After contacting Just Eat, Smash and Dough sent a text to say that delivery would now be around 8:30pm (1hr 45mins after ordered). Delivery was 8:45pm (2 hours after ordering) and there was no proactive communication. Now to the food itself, whilst I have to give them props for it inexplicably arriving warm despite the 2 hour delay, it’s was completely tasteless and mushy. The smash burger and gravy dip tasted of nothing but were very greasy in texture and the only thing that seemed to have flavour (the donner meat) was as hard as a rock! Safe to say we were very disappointed and will not be ordering again.

order for almost £30, no extra ingredient on the pizza. pizza dough not baked, halloumi cheese wrap with two pieces of cheese, the rest was only mayonnaise and ketchup, I didn't taste the vegetables, only ketchup and mayonnaise which is not good, everything except the smash burger which was good, no drink

Recently saw an add on Facebook promoting this place, so thought I'd try, bought the chefs special £21.90 -24.50 with delivery yes bit pricey but had bit of everything, well I was not disappointed, stars of the show were definitely the kofte and the lamb doner, Wrexham has certainly upped its lamb doner game, this along with chip o dee, and best kebab are the 3 stand outs I've come across

Food was cold and under cooked. Thin & crispy and deep pan pizza base are the same apparently
