This pub has just been refurbished and our group of 10 plus 2 dogs spent a lovely couple of hours here on Saturday pm when staying just outside the village. There’s plenty of room, roaring fires and tv which had football in one room, rugby in the other! But there were also places you could sit well away from the sport! Prices were reasonable, staff were super friendly and they do pub grub, but we didn’t eat so couldn’t comment on it. Would definitely visit again, thanks for a lovely afternoon

Wonderful clean & tidy hotel. Exceptional friendly & helpful staff who made all four of us feel welcomed & valued as customers. Nicely decorated & immaculate rooms with comfy beds & good linen. Well stocked mini bar with reasonably priced drinks & nibbles & no silly non environmentally friendly little milk cartons but a pint of fresh milk for the complementary tea & coffee ( lots of choice & plenty of it!) great butter shortbread biscuits too 😁 Bar prices are very good & reasonably priced wines. Food was of good quality from local ingredients & well cooked & presented. Delicious cheese board nice touch serving a slice of bara brith (welsh tea loaf ) as well as biscuits. Our group of four would definitely recommend a visit if you ever go to North Wales. We hope to return in the spring. Well done mulberry inn.

Visited with another family for Sunday lunch - we were staying at a campsite up the valley. This is a “proper” British pub - lovely old building, welcoming atmosphere, decent ales, and hearty, well cooked food. With three 13 year olds in tow, we asked whether the kids portions would be suitable - they definitely were. Will be coming back.

Hotel Closed - the hotel is closed due to a boiler issue, didn’t bother to call ahead. We sat outside of the hotel for an hour trying to ring them. Finally managed to get through and turn out the hotel has been closed for 3 weeks - cannot understand why they didn’t call ahead to let us know.

Third time we’ve been for a Sunday lunch here recently and it was exceptional again. My Mother had the lamb and I had the beef for a change. Tried a cheesie starter which I can’t remember what it was called but it very nice. The lamb is incredible and lots of it but for some reason it didn’t come with a black pudding slice like the last few times instead there was like a flavoured pearl barley underneath. My beef was decent but not as good as the lamb so will be switching next time. Lovely fresh vegetable cooked beautifully and the really tasty cauliflower cheese and all for a reasonable price considering the quality
