The Mulberry Inn in Wrexham

If you like corporate hotels with generic furniture and decor, pre-packed food in plastic, large menus of pre-prepared/frozen food, paper napkins, self service luke warm coffee and, staff with no personality and an overpriced mini bar, this is not the place for you !!!!!! Rooms had great facilities, well stocked reasonably priced mini fridge, welcome goodies and great welcome pack for our dog Dudley. Great fresh breakfast and a cooked to order evening menu. A lovely hotel, good old fashioned service, where the staff really do want you to have a good time. A perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness from all staff, with the odd dog biscuit thrown in for Dudley as we walked through reception. Loved the sweet jar that contained the old fashioned sweets ! Almost don't want to advertise how good this place is through fear of it becoming too busy for us to return.

Stayed here a week ago with husband Paul and our greyhound Nobby. We had a 2 night deal which was very good . Our room "Lloyd " had the biggest bathroom we have ever had in a hotel , separate bath and shower. Everywhere was very clean , beautiful surroundings . It is a quiet location but but within easy reach of other places . All staff were welcoming, friendly and polite a credit to the owner .We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Fantastic venue in the back of beyond. Spotless rooms with everything you could imagine provided. Splendid food. Friendly professional staff.

A wonderful place to stay. The hotel has everything you could possibly need. The restaurant menu has plenty of choice and you would never be disappointed with any selection as the food is amazing. The location is great for a quiet break away with local walks or a good centre point for day trips. This place is definitely worth a visit and I would highly recommend it.

We have just spent two nights at this lovely hotel. The staff are so friendly and the rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped. The food was delicious. We took our elderly dog with us and he was made so welcome with treats in the room and a sausage for breakfast. He had so much fuss from everyone he didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to Alan and all the staff for a truly lovely stay

Wonderful clean & tidy hotel. Exceptional friendly & helpful staff who made all four of us feel welcomed & valued as customers. Nicely decorated & immaculate rooms with comfy beds & good linen. Well stocked mini bar with reasonably priced drinks & nibbles & no silly non environmentally friendly little milk cartons but a pint of fresh milk for the complementary tea & coffee ( lots of choice & plenty of it!) great butter shortbread biscuits too 😁 Bar prices are very good & reasonably priced wines. Food was of good quality from local ingredients & well cooked & presented. Delicious cheese board nice touch serving a slice of bara brith (welsh tea loaf ) as well as biscuits. Our group of four would definitely recommend a visit if you ever go to North Wales. We hope to return in the spring. Well done mulberry inn.

In a beautiful rural setting, excellent food, very friendly staff, and comfortable beds. Everything was done to make our short stay enjoyable and repeatable

Lovely hotel our bedroom was excellent. Lovely place to stay especially with a car and explore the area.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay with Alan and his warm/welcoming staff. The surrounds were stunning and the rooms were beautifully presented. I really loved the garden and the cute donkeys across the inn.

Amazing location. Stopped for a pint mid-walk and it was lovely. Friendly staff, great beer and even offered a bowl of water for our dog.

Had a fantastic two night stay and cannot recommend it enough. Well worth a visit.

We had a lovely stay food was really nice staff very attentive beau our dog looked after treats and a ball and towel in the room sausage at breakfast. The room and bathroom were immaculate with shower gel and toothbrushes. Proper milk and lovely biscuits.

Wow....last minute booking but certainly found a gem here. Everything about this place is wonderful. The staff are so helpful and polite and kind. The gardens and surrounding area is beautiful Plenty of parking. Rooms amazing. Well sized and fabulous selection of drinks and snacks along with a very well stocked mini bar reasonably priced. Breakfast amazing. This is one of those places that will go on my top 10 list and will certainly be coming back for a longer stay. Thank you....🙏

A fabulous break in a cosy countryside hotel. The attention to detail was second to none. They thought of everything you may need in your room, and a reasonably priced mini bar was available. The meals were exceptional and staff a credit. Came across it by chance, but would return and recommend.
