The food in The Oak was delicious, scampi and chips was apparently a highlight, good music, waitress and landlord very pleasant. We'll be back!

Dirty tables, food on the floor and looked like there was just one member of staff trying to do everything (I actually felt sorry for him)

Ellice Way, Wrexham, LL13 7YH, United KingdomPoor food ! Fish and chips , smallest fish EVER. Small portion of chips also. Ordered brownie and ice cream and asked for extra ice cream. It came with 1 scoop on top. When I enquired they came back 5 mins later saying I’d need to pay for it, having not yet had the bill this was fairly obvious. After all the news about I said forget it. 4 star hotel - don’t expect 4 star food or service. Had to get their attention to be seated and also had to get their attention to order the food. Again at 4 star - you expect a level of service and this was not met here.
