The best restaurants in Llanberis Gwynedd North Wales

The food, hospitality and drink were excellent! I had soup and garlic bread, all delicious. My wife had mushroom en croute and vegetables, which was similarly tasty. Recommend it heavily, cool posters too!!

What an amazing hidden gem this is. Really nice setting, very friendly staff and to die for cakes. I had a mini afternoon tea (very reasonably priced) which consisted of some freshly made cheese & chutney and ham & mustard finger sandwiches, possibly the best fresh scone with strawberry jam and clotted cream and a slice of blueberry bakewell cake yum yum - the scone was definitely the highlight. I also had a decafe mocha which was also exceptional- i look forward to visiting again with my sons who are both partial to a nice scone 😀.

Great coffee and good selection of outdoor clothing and equipment, lots of local books and information. Try the Guinness muffin!

Great cafe, food is plentiful and always freshly made. The welsh rarebit is excellent. It is our go to place for coffe and cake. Owners are very friendly to. Great place.

Steffan, you darling man! What a welcome we received, we were drenched, dripping with rain, but Steffan welcomed us with a warm embrace and a tea towel to sit on. We then ordered a cappuccino and a black coffee, where I was immediately told I was getting one sugar cube because any more would play havoc with my blood pressure... Quite right! We sat in front of the roaring fire (one of the best I have ever seen), drinking our coffees which warmed us to the bone, whilst my partner (Guy) bored Steffan with his cheffing stories. It was an absolute Gem of a find and made our cold, wintry Snowdon Walk worth every second! Ignore the ten negative (out of 1,500) reviews, you are one of a kind Steffan (They just don’t make them like you anymore), keep doing what you're doing because we will be back. For anyone reading this, if you do not do Pen-y-ceunant Isaf Tea House, then frankly, you haven’t done Snowdon!

I saved this as my post mountain climbing treat.. and boy it was worth it!!! The scoops are huge and the flavours of ice cream are incredible!! Really well done on that. Brilliant little ice cream shop

Very tasty full welsh breakfast. Not too long of a wait. Nice staff. Seating is a bit of a squeeze but cosy inside. Toilet is outside but better than not having one atall!

Eaten here many of times and have enjoyed the food never had an issue..!! Had breakfast today it was terrible i asked for the sausages and bacon to be well done with my fat cut off the bacon... i never leave food on my plate always empty 🤦‍♂️ not this time my plate was full as i left with disappointment... To be fair the owners wasn't here it was a new chef which i told the waitress to let the owners know the food was terrible.

So disappointing. We left a busy vibey cafe up the road to try Pantri, which my husband liked the look of. We entered from the adjacent shop, and that seemed to cause some communication problems. Having enquired about whether food was still being served, we were told to sit down like naughty children then when we ventured to the counter to look at the rather meagre selection of cakes - I was told I should have read the sign on the door- i did not use to understand there was no coffee on offer. Chastened I ordered a chamomile tea and some mass produced carrot cake. Not happy, unwelcoming, cold and teenage. We paid £15 to be treated like this, doubtless it had been a difficult day for the Pantri team.

Really good pizza. Utterly delightful people. It would be good pizza in any city in the world. Crispy, beautifully cooked. Had a pint on the terrace while we waited a short time for our order. Thanks guys. We’ll be back.

Beautiful bar with good food and a real fire. Came in here after climbing the surrounding mountains for some food and drinks with my partner and dog. Had a good selection of food and we both opted for the homemade chicken burger. This was a large size with home made chips and I enjoyed that had a IPA on draft too.

Discovered this excellent vegan cafe completely by accident and what a discovery! I only arrived late afternoon but there was still a good choice of cakes. Couldn't resist ordering the maple pecan tarty and the Boston creme croissant, saved having to make a choice (although I'd have liked to sample the other options too). The cakes didn't just look good buy tasted excellent too (to often cakes look better than they taste). Very pleasant cafe, hope to get back for a proper lunch sometime. The coffee was excellent too.

We stopped here for breakfast twice, having been disappointed by the service at another establishment. The breakfast rolls are tasty, especially the sausages, and both the tea and coffee were good. Fair prices and very friendly service. Outdoor seating where you can eat your food whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Llanberis and its surroundings. Also does delicious cakes, milkshakes and hot chocolate. Highly recommended.
