January 2025 This was our first visit here. Welcoming village community-run shop and cafe on the Brecon Road in the centre of the village, near to Llangorse Lake and the caravan park there. It was next to a new village hall/community centre and post office, and a Primary School. The tarmacked car park is good size and the whole place was accessible for people with disabilities. Nice modern building, with a well-stocked grocery shop and a lovely modern cafe, accessible loo with baby change facilities. There was everything that you would need in the well-stocked shop, including fresh, chilled, frozen, and packaged food, as well as a good selection of household supplies, all of which were sold at prices that are affordable. They were open to receiving suggestions regarding what other things should be on sale. I am celiac and suggested it would be good to have a larger range of gluten free food available, especially savoury items in the cafe. They have a good Facebook page where they regularly post, including special offers. @Llangorsvillageshop. The coffee shop was lovely, nice seating and tables, and sold a good selection of cakes, hot pasties, sandwiches etc. There were gluten free bars available and they are looking at improving their range. There was fresh coffee, range of teas and soft drinks. You could also order food to take out. Staff were all friendly and welcoming and found time to talk to you. Drinks and food were served quickly, no waiting for ages for it to arrive. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

What can I say...... Great food, great owners, amazing staff, beautiful rooms to stay in, super friendly, very clean, and so welcoming. My partner and I stayed here for the weekend as it was my birthday, we also had friends over from London. The rooms are beautifully decorated and had so many things in the rooms and bathroom you know you would forget to bring from home, right down to cotton buds, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, make-up wipes and so much more. We had a perfect night's sleep, amazing food and the best of company. If there was 20 stars for this place, then we would give it, 5 is just not enough. Thank you so much to Mike and Michelle for making us so welcome and for making my birthday very special I can't highly recommend this cosy, friendly pub enough! Thank you

We visited here by chance, since our original choice of pub closer to our holiday cottage was closed, yet we're so glad we ended up here! We felt very relaxed, were so welcomed, and the menu had plenty of choice for the pescatarians among us (although perhaps another veggie option on the kids' menu would've been helpful?). There's a refreshingly good choice of veggie and fish options, as well as the usual meat choices, and all reasonably priced. The food is very tasty, very generous portions, and nicely presented. Our dog was welcomed (and spoiled!) too. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, spacious-but-cosy, with wonderful decor. The landlord was really friendly and welcoming too. We'd definitely like to visit again if ever we're in the area.

Friendly staff, hearty, simple menu, great coffee. We stopped here after walking Crickhowell to Brecon via the Black Mountains. They weren’t bothered about muddy boots but we took off at door anyway. Toilets immaculate. Chef’s playlist that could be heard in the dining area - not a bad song on it for about an hour. Good on him!!

Disappointed. Couldn't go inside because we had a dog. Only non-dairy milk available was oat and cold - so no hot chocolate or lattes or cappuccinos. I asked if it could be heated up but apparently it couldn't. It was a very cold day and we had to sit outside because we had the dog with us. After having read the reviews for this cafe I had great hopes but I was sadly let down.
