The best restaurants in East Kilbride East South Lanarkshire South West Scotland

No cheese on chips cheese and donner, guy on phone claims its because i never wrote cheese on the notes, but when i look back on the 5th August, they gave me cheese even though the notes are the same Even just eat has refunded me, so clearly restaurant is in the wrong, trying to twist words 🤦

I was visiting relatives for a few days and decided to walk over for a pint and try out the local ambience. I walked in and was immediately asked to leave as "this is a pub for local people" I left feeling slightly awkward and also laughing a bit as I am not sure having the same business model as Tubbs and Edward from the League of Gentlemen is effective. I could have explained I grew up in the area or that my brother lives just across the road but I didn't want to waste my time bothering and neither should you.

We order pretty regularly and it's never been a bad service but tonight was abysmal. Large portion of chips cheese and curry was missing from order. The portion we did receive had the most pathetically small smearing of curry sauce on it. And the chicken pakora was so dry it was nearly inedible. Hopefully just an off night and not a new standard going forward.

50% of the time I come here the selection they have for vegetarians is almost nothing no baguettes or sandwiches only cold pastries
