ordered chicken balls chips fried rice and curry sauce x2 pancake rolls what i got was chips fried rice and curry sauce x2 and pancake rolls. totally unacceptable. now I don't blame the blame the lantern or the delivery driver i blame just eat for their incompetence. just eat need to do a lot better.

Beautiful meal. Peking chicken was amazing and so was the satay! Still the same since the 90s . Ultimate hangover Chinese.

the worst special chow mein I have tasted, it had broccoli, carrots, peppers and mushrooms in it, the noodles were so small and a tiny amount at the bottom and it came in some sort of sweet gravy it went in the bin , will not be ordering again !

Got the sweet chilli chicken, would avoid this, chicken was mushy, the fried rice was hard and not edible, this place used to be good, it's went downhill, wouldn't recommend.

Food quality mixed bag. Udon dish was quite nice. However crispy chicken was overcooked and in no way crispy (batter sloppy and soft), and fried rice undercooked. Really poor quality dish, ended up throwing most in the bin

Food is generic, frozen then reheated chicken. Wings are rubber like and over powered with poorly, watered down seasoning. Curry as bland and chicken again, evidently chocked as bought. Very poor.

Used this place for years until about 2 year ago when it went downhill a bit so we stopped ordering.Decided to try again after not finding any other decent one’s in EK & I must say we’re all so glad we did.Girl was very well mannered on phone as was delivery driver.Portion sizes are absolutely huge now.My 26 year old son could only manage half a portion of chips,chicken balls,fried rice & curry sauce which was so delicious.Curry sauce tastes wayyyy better than before & the chicken balls were soooo good too.He’s also fussy so was good to hear he even gave the food a 10/10.We got succulent barbecue spare ribs & wasn’t an issue when I asked for extra sliced lemon with them.Special fried rice was lovely too & again portion sizes are very large now.That was the BEST one we’ve ever had from there & will definitely become a regular again.Good to see yahs back on top guys & tyvm 👌👍🏻

Food was okay, salt and pepper chicken looked like chips instead of chicken and was covered in garlic. Very overpowering. Rice wasn’t the best and hard.

Foods always warm when collected portion size is good compared to others and staff are polite.

We got the munchie box - loved it. And chips on the side the sauce was great, if your not someone who picks sauce they’ll select it for you and don’t be big headed, 😁it’s great

Another order from the best Chinese takeaway in East Kilbride & on Just Eat. I ordered Salt & Chilli Pepper Chicken, Large Fried Rice, x2 Curry Sauce & S Plain Omelette. As always the food arrived early & piping hot. Food was absolutely outstanding & the portions were massive. The Chef at The Lantern really has those Salt & Chilli Pepper dishes down to a fine art. Normally enjoy food from The Lantern and have ordered a few times. Last night however, I discovered a small dead fly in my curry. Hoping JustEast sort out a refund but unlikely I'll order again. Realise it's one of those things that can happen and it was just this once but still, a bit gross.

chicken in the chicken fried rice was burnt and disgusting tasting. rice was undercooked and laiden with soy sauce not cooked through wasn't edible at all. I've been ordering from here for a wee while now but I won't be back.

Top marks for the chicken udon noodles with chilli and garlic - a really spicy mix of Japanese, Cantonese and Sichuan style! Never had anything quite like it, best Chinese food I've had from a regular takeaway in years.

my deliveries keep going missing and being delivered to the wrong address because just eat has my address and postcode listed wrongly on the map. the map goes to 29 Falkland drive on the pin point and I cannot edit where the destination shows after I've entered my correct postcode. just eat need to sort it out I've had to have so many refunds for undelivered food or things left up the street on doorsteps of uninhabited homes. it's insane. posting this for JE. the restaurant itself is lovely.

Had a fantastic special chow mein from here tonight...great flavour, the meats cooked to perfection and the sauce was amazing...delivery was really quick considering i live quite a bit away. The girl who took my order on the phone was well mannered and friendly...highly recommend this place

EXCELLENT 10/10 everything was (fresh) everything that I required a certain way done in each part of the order, they very carefully carried out to my instructions which is important! so overall, I was very pleased with whole experience.

Saltiest food I've ever tasted was ridiculous ruined nearly everything. Taste the food when you are making it there is no way any chef would think it was acceptable seasoning levels. Would have actually tasted nice if it wasn't salted to death.

Disgusting that's all I can say clearly don't know wot a chow main is feck knows what the gave me onions were rotten black papped of top of burnt fried rice with what looked like a spoonful of curry sauce that tasted terrible never again I'd avoid at all cost made me boak

Food was great however the rudest delivery driver I've ever come across. He didn't ring the door bell or chap the door but sat outside in his car the restaurant then had to phone me to let me know my order was there. He then stormed in the garden moaning he had been waiting for 10 minutes....sorry my psychic powers weren't working! He then stormed out slamming the gate off the wall & leaving it wide open before getting in his car and driving off at speed along a residential street.

The BEST crispy shredded chilli chicken EVER. I've been ordering it from here for over 18yrs and it's amazing. Tried it everywhere else and it just doesn't compare. Service is fine and prices reasonable.

The chef has never tasted beef Cantonese because that was not it. £8.30 It was hot spicy burn your tongue. That was not beef Cantonese. I have tasted many some that actually the real deal and some of them are weaker version that wasn’t even in the park. Shameful. The fried rice was beautiful

Went out on a whim and decided to order from somewhere new. Never again. Ordered chicken curry, chips, fried rice and prawn crackers. The side dishes were the best part. The curry was like dirty water, tasted very bland and the chicken was rubbery. Me and the girlfriend were highly disappointed.

Ordered the 'Hot' curry as the normal one doesn't have much heat at all. Jeezo....hate to think what the Extra Hot is like. Had to scrape most of the sauce off the chicken to eat it. That was a challenge, lol. You could maybe do with a middle ground (maybe a Medium Hot or just don't make the Hot so hot). Good quality food as always though.
