Just had a delicious roast beef sunday lunch here today. Large portion with plenty of vegetables…. And then a massive side portion of delicious cauliflower cheese. .. each! Very dog friendly and lovely staff. Totally recommend if you’re in the area.

Oh dear! This used to be a lovely place to eat. The current management leaves a lot to be desired. Staffing all very amateurish. Several items missing from the menu because "they were waiting for deliveries." Couldn't even remember to bring the requested water to table. Food perfectly acceptable but nothing very exciting although still relatively expensive. I notice that the accompanying photos on this site are from the days of previous ownership. Nothing like as cosy now. Not in a hurry to revisit.

Popped in last night for an evening meal. We’ve been regular visitors for several years. The food was ok, pretty mediocre and expensive for what it was. Desserts obv frozen. Some really loud foul mouthed people drinking at the bar, the bar stools situated right next to diners! I’m not a beer drinker but my husband said all beer on offer was from the big breweries, there’s so many local breweries around it’s a shame not to support them. Service was poor, had to wait ages for drinks orders to be taken, be given menus etc. unfortunately this place is a shadow of its former self. Won’t return as there’s many other better options locally.

Took my wee dog in about 11.15 am , exceptionally welcoming staff found us a great table - and even lent me their glasses to read the menu as I had forgotten mine 👍🏼 Squeezed me onto the breakfast menu which was about to stop , gave my dog biscuits and were all round great hosts. Breakfast mix was superb , a lovely spread of neatly sized , hot and fresh mushrooms, eggs , beans , avocado mash, tattie scone and whole meal toast.
