Excellent good and service, dog friendly, light spacious cafe. We had jacket potatoes, toasties and delicious homemade cawl with cheese and bread rolls. Then Upton Farm ice cream!
With family we visited the Sylvania Community Cafe and we’re delighted
Great atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff team
Value for money prices
I thoroughly enjoyed beans on toast which were delicious
Tea was perfect - Yorkshire Tea
We were served by Ruby who really made us feel welcome and we’ll be back very soon
If you need a few groceries a newspaper or some sweets or biscuits pop in and chill with a cuppa and some chat
Thank you
I couldn’t recommend Jamie and his team at Potting Shed Produce enough! Jamie and his mother are incredible chefs, the food is second to none. The most delicious hog roast, exciting salads and sensational summery deserts.
Jamie and his team are always welcoming and care for your needs. The entertainment and live music is very professional and enjoyable, they really want their audience to get involved.
If you haven’t been to an event here at PSP, you’re missing out!
Thank you again for such a wonderful day!
We arrived in Rousay on the ferry from Orkney Mainland .. a little peckish and several hours before we could check into our hotel. So, the Moorings was brilliantly signed and sited. AND, great "scran"! My travelling companion rated her Lorne + Fried Onions the best ever .. no supermarket ever sells Lorne that thick! I had a ham and cheese roil (a great roll, by the way) with about half a pound of excellent Orkney Cheese .. and, the chips .. skin on, crispy, gorgeous. Coffe and Tea were also 1st class and the range of condiments better than 5* establishments. FINALLY, the woman in charge .. fabulous service and care and funny (comedical) with it. Whether your peckish, famished, or even no' hungry, get in there and enjoy and make sure that this entrepreneurial new(ish) venture becomes the stuff of Rousay Legend, and view with Mid Howe as a tourist attraction!
We visited for lunch during a day out in Weymouth and were so glad we did. The staff were polite, attentive and friendly. The food was perfect..excellent quality and value for money, portion sizes were very generous and presentation lovely. I couldn't fault our experience in any way and would definitely recommend. We will definitely return.
Just returned from an overnighter…
Great ride up with friends, and on arrival everything is just as if you’re being welcomed for the first time, but better, because you’re being welcomed back.
So we’ll set up for bike trips.
Once again, rooms are immaculate, and food is fantastic, both in terms of quality, and portion size.
Everybody is so accommodating, and I just look forward to returning.
Lovely setting staff were very friendly and helpful. The cocktails were fab and we ordered the small plates platter and the smoked fish platter which were excellent. Can’t wait to come back to try more of your food and cocktails.
My husband and I, not forgetting our dog Jasper, visited the Dog and Duck a few nights ago for a meal. The food was absolutely delicious and the variety of local beers was amazing, we were spoilt for choice. The beer my husband chose was light and refreshing. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. It’s great to find somewhere like this that accepts dogs where we can all enjoy the food, atmosphere and just relax! If you’re in this area, visit the Dog and Duck! You won’t be disappointed!
