Seven adults, a baby and a dog all enjoyed a lovely, relaxed evening in the Dog & Duck. We sampled 2 starters, 5 different main courses and three desserts and they were all excellent. The food is top quality and beautifully presented in a warm and welcoming environment. The music selection was perfect and the sound level just right - loud enough to be able to hear the music but not loud enough to be intrusive. We hope to be back next time we visit Fermanagh!

Had a wonderful meal in the Dog and Duck on Friday, 18th October. Can absolutely agree that the reviews are all correct. This is a Gastropub not to be missed. We prebooked a table for 6 people as a little Birthday treat for my brother in law based on reviews read and all 6 of us were blown away by the quality of the meal and the professionalism shown by all the staff. Margaret ( owner) kindly shared with me the story of the Dog and Duck from inception to its present day. An absolute gem of an English Country style laid back oub/ restaurant and look forward to returning in the not too distant future

We were staying in the fermanagh lakeland Lodges just outside lisneskea. The owners Mum recommended The dog and duck to us. So we decided to try it out, lovely cosy atmosphere, Woodburning stoves. I asked for a non alcoholic beer which was amazing, we had a starter of deep fried brie. The pub began to fill up lots of people chatting. We then had our main I had the duck my wife had the braised brisket, it was all great lots of chat from the owner and staff .And yes we had a desert chocolate brownie and wheaten and whisky ice cream gorgeous. We would highly recommend a visit here 5 stars at least. We would also recommend that you ring up and book a table to make sure you get in.

My husband & I were so pleased to find this absolute gem of a restaurant/ pub while we were holidaying in Fermanagh. It had a lovely relaxed atmosphere & was so cosy with the fires lit on a real dreak day. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming - nothing was a bother. The food was 10/10 - really delicious. All washed down with craft beers. What more could you ask for? We will definitely be back to this wee gem. PS - plus it's dog friendly! A great bonus because it meant we could bring our wee Schnauzer with us & not have to rush our meal to get back to her. So a huge thank you to the Dog & Duck Inn - you've done an amazing job & we wish you much success for the future. See you again, Jason, Lynn & wee Darcey.

After hearing such good reports about the Dog and Duck Inn I decided to give it a go. I tried to book for Saturday night at 7pm but I was told they could only do 7.15pm...that was no problem - we arrived at 7.00 and were seated promptly in a half quiet restaurant...Seats were not suitable for everyone as they are like picnic benches! When we asked could we order starters while we were still deciding on our main course.... we were told this was not possible. We subsequently ordered the 2 courses. We were then shocked to have our main course arrive before the starters!!! Couldn't fault the food as it was delicious. On receiving our bill I was charged £20 for 2 small bottles of prosecco. The wine list was misleading as I understood it was £10 for 2 glasses of prosecco. I normally leave a £10 tip when dining out, however I didn't on this occasion as it went on being charged the extra £10 for the prosecco.

We had the pleasure of dining in the Dog and Duck with our friends and all I can say is Waow. We were greeted by Margaret upon arrival who made us feel so welcome. Such a beautiful bar area. I even got to sample Rhubarb cider which I have to say was beautiful. Our food was fantastic. I had the Brie and red onion tart followed by a sirloin steak( from the butcher next door .) My steak was cooked to perfection. The staff in The Dog and Duck are great. Nothing is a problem. This place is a hidden gem and if you haven’t been i would suggest you put it on your list . We loved it so much, we have already booked to go back.,

Having read of this new gastropub in the papers I decided to check it out with family and friends up from Belfast. The verdict all round was that it's an excellent pub on all fronts and we only got a brief snapshot of it on the night. As soon as you step in the door, it's got a real craft beer pub feel about it. There's an excellent selection of ales and lagers on display, as well as a full range of spirits. In a county and a country where most pubs stock the bog-standard brand names, it was great to see such a selection of Fermanagh and German brewed proper beers. In fact if one of those brand names hadn't already used the slogan, I'd say it's probably the best craft lager stockist in the world of Fermanagh. There's also a micro-distillery of whiskey too, hence the name Glenwinny also attached to the pub. And the sampling of that should hopefully be part of another visit some day. The roaring fires and decor definitely creates the right ambience for sipping hot whiskeys on a winter's evening. And last but not least, the food was very good too, whether starters or mains, with generous portions and lots of locally sourced portions. On the whole it's definitely a place that's the product of a very clear vision about what it wants to be - a very well-crafted pub. The staff were friendly, attentive and excellent too. Oh, and I love the framed banknotes in the toilet - it's the little touches like that which make a place memorable.

It is lovely that you can take your dog with you. Absolutely amazing food. A beautiful place to eat or sit at the bar and have a few drinks. The staff are so friendly and lovely to chat to. Overall a lovely experience and we will definitely be back. Thank you Margaret and staff for a lovely first experience of your beautiful bistro.

Fabulous food and great selection of beers and spirits in a small country village in Fermanagh. Great menu variety, excellent chicken burger and amazing crème brûlée. Great selection of drinks available, lots of different whiskeys and beers. I saw copper stills on my way through the lounge so I think perhaps they also brew.

We booked a family party of 8 to celebrate a 16th birthday & it was marvellous! From the extremely warm owner welcome on entry to the delicious mains & desserts. Across our group we collectively tried the burgers, cod, duck & bang bang chicken salad - everyone was delighted with their mains. The desserts selected (pavlova, brownies & crème brûlée) were every bit as delicious. All 8 of us would give Margaret & her friendly team at the Dog & Duck high recommendation. Saturday nights are v busy so book in advance to avoid disappointment

This is an excellent venue, very friendly with first rate food, staff and of course craft beers and ciders of all sorts. We were a party of 9, who selected most selections from the menu and No one had any complaints. I had a venison whichI fell of the bone. The place itself varies from a old y workday pub to a modern bistro, depending where you sit, but everywhere has fires. It would encourage you to sit all night and lap in the atmosphere

I visited with my partner tonight, our handsome host Kincade greeted us at the door, after chatting with Margaret, the owner who explained the inns ethos of local suppliers we were allowed to choose our table and we were lucky to get table 1, beside the stove after we got our drinks. We tried Road Trippin', a really nice pale ale. Our waitress was very prompt and courteous without being overbearing (apologies I forgot to ask her name). For starters we had soup and the scotch egg, (my regret is not slow mo videoing the soft egg) the wheaten bread was clearly very fresh, for mains we had beer braised beef and Vension shank, I cannot fault either with seasonal veg cooked to perfection, with dinner I had Chalk Farm merlot as they were out of Malbec and I am glad. (currently searching where I can get this locally) dessert was chocolate and ale cake with ice-cream and coconut rice pudding (OMG!! If you're a Bounty lover this is the dessert for you) with peaches! I love the fact that on a Friday evening there was a mix of couples old and young and families too. I also love that it is dog friendly and would happily bring our two along. Overall a lovely evening, pleasant staff, nice ambient music beautifully decorated, Clean, great food and ale and I must say very reasonably priced. We had a lovely time, thank you everyone we will definitely be back soon

Food is great and sourced locally, great selection of drinks too. But having dogs around food isn't ideal, and when they shed hair on carpet it's awful when you have an allergy to dog hair. That was the drawback for me

Anyone know what has happened to this company? It had rave reviews, I had friends who had ordered from them but poof they now cease to exist. No media explanation. Web site closed with no message. Very odd as they seemed to be doing a roaring trade.

Great wee cafe in the centre of Dumfries and my go-to place for a morning coffee. More character than all the other "chain" establishments in town put together. Table service. Dog friendly. Lovely staff. What's not to like 👍
