Thailicious did a pop up at the Shiny Tap and as always Kay and her team produced a terrific tasty menu of outstanding food to enjoy, thank you for a great evening.
This place serves excellent coffee. The chicken fried rice was just right - good portion size and fresh ingredients. The ?cruffle, a combination of croissant and waffle was to die for. Go there and try one!
Brilliant Kebabs with a difference at this independent restaurant - went with a group of friends the food was fantastic full of flavour - great produce cooked fresh - located above the Oil Basin bar excellent selection of beers etc. Definitely will be going back
Absolutely gorgeous food and wonderful service. We came on a Saturday night and had such a lovely evening. We all shared our starters they were all delicious and the mains were brilliant as well. Would definitely come back. Staff were very attentive and friendly.
First visit and found by accident lucky to spot it as its a little out of the way just past the library on the corner.
Spotlessly clean and a nice variety of food and drinks.
Ukrainian lady running the show and does a good job so all the support we can give her here.
Hermoso restaurante. Personal maravilloso y comida auténtica increíble. Recomiendo encarecidamente. Los postres son una prueba obligada. La comida es fresca y se nota que los ingredientes son de buena calidad también
Everything I have tried from Bamboo Street Food is incredible, and a must-visit when in Leicester! The kebab ‘meat’ is insane, and the amount of fresh toppings is great. Each dish is loaded with flavours, the ingredients are fresh and great quality, and the portions are more than generous. I feel like this is one of the only places now where you can go for an excellent tasting meal, presented well, packed with fresh salad AND buy a drink too, and it comes to £10. It’s exceptional value for money and I couldn’t recommend anywhere in Leicester more for vegan food. Even our non-vegan friends were super impressed with the 100% plant-based menu.
Lovely people, absolutely hilarious actually. Made my mum and I very welcome straight away. Straight forward food that’s wholesome and tasty.
I have a feeling this will be my mum and I’d regular spot when she visits. This place reminds me of much needed home cooked food on a long road trip and finding a gem of a cafe on a long country road. I dunno, strange feeling of comfort in a pubic place.
We had seen Becca’s bites advertised on Facebook and decided to take a trip out for a late lunch. The weather was beautiful and on entering, the bi fold patio doors were open onto the patio and there was music playing in the background.
We were greeted by Becca and made to feel really welcome.
Food order placed, we relaxed with our drinks while we waited for our meals. We honestly felt like we were on holiday! That authentic, relaxed café/bar atmosphere has been captured perfectly by Becca and Craig and made for a truly relaxing afternoon.
Food arrived and it was just lovely. Everything was served at the same time and piping hot. We then had to try the cakes, after all it would be rude not to! There were plenty to choose from and the carrot cake and lemon drizzle cake were super fresh and light. We felt that chilled we stayed a good while longer ordering a good value bucket of beer, soft drinks and milkshakes and made an afternoon/early evening of it.
If you haven’t visited, what are you waiting for?! You’ll be well fed and watered and given a warm welcome. You’re made to feel like old friends and you’re supporting a lovey family business.
We’ve also attended a couple of quiz nights here and had a great time. It’s speed quizzing and we’ve had a really good laugh. Not sure I should be advertising this though as seats get filled fast and we don’t want to risk not getting in!!! Joking aside, give it a try, it’s a really good night!
Keep up the great work Becca and Craig, you’ve got a unique place here with a lovely ambience.
