Havent been here for a quite few months but was surprised by the fact it was half empty on a Saturday night at half term .It was always packed when the previous owners had it.Also completely gobsmacked by the hike in prices £20 for a pizza ,£6 for a pint of beer and £8 for a pudding!! No wonder it wasnt busy .Also the previous owners always used to have a wood fire burning but whenever Ive been here since it's always chilly. Food is ok but nothing to write home about -the pizzas have hardly any toppings on them even when you order extras so a pretty easy way to make a vast profit on a pizza. Its such a shame as it is the only restaurant in Pateley so youre stuck with it as the only option if you dont want pub grub.

I’ve been coming to Pateley for years, and this place is getting worse. Whatever it likes to call itself, its not a pub or a restaurant or an Inn, It’s an outdoor bar/tent serving beer, with outdoor seating on tacky and sticky benches, and only serves food, through an outsourced street food caterer on Friday and Saturday nights. It has No website, just a FaceBook Page and It’s as though it’s not interested. Not much luck moving on to the Sportsman’s Arms which claims to be a pub/Hotel - that’s closed from Mondays to Wednesdays, despite the opening hours board outside the Hotel saying ‘open every day’. Its a cushy life in Yorkshire if you’re in the hospitality business.

My friend and I had a wonderful Sunday lunch here today - had initially booked for just me and my dog but the booking, with a couple of days, was easily changed to 2 adults and 3 dogs. My lunch was fantastic and I enjoyed every mouthful (have been quite poorly so it was extra delicious) -my friend thoroughly enjoyed her choice too. The dogs loved the biscuits as well. Thank you and will be certainly coming back very soon

We popped in on a cycle ride (there's nowhere else local). The shop is well stocked, the cafe had a more limited menu but had everything we needed, and the service was friendly. Plenty of seating outside.

I cannot comment on the rooms, we only called in for dinner. Parked in the village and walked up to Brimham Rocks. After a nice walk out it was only right that we call into the local public house for a well deserved meal and beer. I will keep it simple... the welcome was polite and friendly, the beer was spot on, the menu, was varied enough, but also not that big to be confusing. The food!!.. perfect!!! We had, Royal oak burger, Hunters Chicken , and slow brazed lamb shank... All meals were fantastic, and for me.. without question some of the best food I have had while out walking in a long time. I will be returning in the future as its well worth a visit.
