Olleys Pizzeria Bar and Retaurant in Harrogate

Havent been here for a quite few months but was surprised by the fact it was half empty on a Saturday night at half term .It was always packed when the previous owners had it.Also completely gobsmacked by the hike in prices £20 for a pizza ,£6 for a pint of beer and £8 for a pudding!! No wonder it wasnt busy .Also the previous owners always used to have a wood fire burning but whenever Ive been here since it's always chilly. Food is ok but nothing to write home about -the pizzas have hardly any toppings on them even when you order extras so a pretty easy way to make a vast profit on a pizza. Its such a shame as it is the only restaurant in Pateley so youre stuck with it as the only option if you dont want pub grub.

Nice place, great service but prices left a lot to be desired. £18/19 for a pizza. The dearest I've ever paid for a Calzone. £5.95 for a portion of chips. No wonder there's no prices on their website

Excellent food. We are here twice during our holiday and enjoyed it very much. Very large portions. Service was good too. Advisable to book as can get busy.

The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and filled up very quickly after we arrived. Food and drinks were served quickly and staff were very friendly and helpful We had bread and olives to share for starter which were lovely. We had pizza and a steak for main. The pizza had herbs on it which wasn’t stated on the menu and there was a bit too much, I’d have asked for no herbs if I’d known. My husband said his steak was excellent. The main thing we’d have changed was that the restaurant was freezing cold. I appreciate businesses are trying to save money but it made us want to eat and leave rather than have another drink or a pudding.

Booked a table 2 days in advance as was advised to do so by our holiday letting manager as it does get busy. And yes, two different groups of people were turned away. Good choice of pasta and pizza dishes. Specials board was interesting however rather expensive so opted for a pasta dish instead.

This lovely restaurant is atmospheric and very welcoming. The menu choice was good and the food was excellent. I had a delicious pizza marinara, and I had a taste of a friend's chicken and mushroom pasta which was divine! Service was friendly and quick, and the staff were very attentive and keen to ensure we had everything we needed. Thank you - a great experience.

Although we live locally, we avoided Olleys for some time under the previous management, but under the new owners it has improved tremendously. Four of us went this week. The staff were friendly, service was very good and the food was excellent. Although the prices have gone up since we were last there some time ago, it is our experience that this has happened everywhere we have eaten in the last couple of years. I would thoroughly recommend Olleys whether you are a visitor or a local - excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back.

After a long walk on the dale we were all pretty hungry and this place opened at 5pm on Sunday. We hadn't booked but they made room for us in spite of being short staffed. Food was all really nice, it's well designed inside and the lady who served us was welcoming. Plenty of pizzas but lots more bistro type food. Would definitely go again.

I’d have voted 0 if it was possible. Firstly I’d like to say that when the food eventually arrived it was good. The staff prioritised the pizza and pasta orders. These were served quickly and these customers were served and left before we were even served our cold starters even though we ordered before them. We’d ordered the specials at £35.00 for a main of medallions of beef and cold starters. We waited over an hour and a half for our meal. The food was good. The couple running the restaurant were friendly and hard working. But the waiter when we complained about the slow service became the most rude, insulting and aggressive person I have ever encountered in hospitality. I really thought he was going to get violent. He said ‘you’re not from around here are you’ and accused me of being ‘immature’. He failed to attempt to apologise for the late service but tried to put the blame on us saying ‘what time did you order?’….we ordered as soon as the waiter arrived! A simple apology would have been sufficient but he turned the situation into a war! He needs training in hospitality and personal awareness. Our evening was ruined by this and left us shaken and saddened for the couple who employ him. I therefore do not recommend going to this restaurant if you want a relaxing evening . So sad for Yorkshire which is on the whole a friendly and welcoming place to holiday.

Lovely little restaurant, great food and we were lucky to get a table without booking, busy night but with great company and very tasty wine its worth to wait very friendly service, it was our first visit but we will be back 😉

Whilst it’s a pizzeria it has a mouthwatering specials menu. Sadly they are incapable of providing a basic service for their highly priced special dining along side turning out their pizzas To wait over an hour for cold starters and a further 30 mins for mains is tardy in the extreme Don’t complain if you expect an acknowledgment of their inadequate service never mind an apology as there is every chance you will told ‘as you’re not from around here you don’t know what to expect’! Tourist board will be over the moon!!! So pleased every where else we visited were polite and accommodating

Food lovely when we got it, after nearly an hour had to ask when our starters were coming. No apologies then again had to ask when our mains were coming! On paying there was no apology in fact the young waiter was quite rude and asked if we were local? They must be very lucky if they don’t need or value tourists Won’t be recommending to future visitors to our cottage

Lovely ambience and very friendly and welcoming staff. We shared a starter then had pizzas which were crispy and nicely flavoured. House red wine very good. There is an interesting specials board too.

Sadly not half as good as it used to be. The pizzas are fine. But many of the main menu dishes seem to have been put together from ready made ingredients like sauces or bags of salad, by youngsters working Saturday jobs, and are completely over priced for what theye are. No skill involved here. Neew owners - please calm down and review your chefs and your pricing!

I have been here quite a few times and it never lets me down! The food is so gorgeous and there are so many options to choose from - like pasta, burgers, salads and pizza! The specials board was a great choice I really enjoyed it. The staff are lovely and always make me feel welcome and the atmosphere is great! Overall Olly’s is my favourite place to eat, and I’m so excited to try one of the burgers on my next visit!

The pizza was absolutely delicious, the pasta and burgers seems fabulous as-well as the menu.The specials board also has a surprise every-time. It has so many options and has something for everyone.
