Lovely pub with seperate restaurant, nice and bright. Staff very very friendly and helpful. Food ...a bit hit and miss...thai vegan curry was bland..the fish huge but not the best we have had ... steak good and the chips were very good. Lasagne nice with garlic bread . Kids menu quite good choices. 30% off main dishes kept the bill reasonable.

Food was not good my wife had the trio of roats. They meats were nice but it was only warm instead of hot as though it was sat on a ate for 10 minutes before being served. My sons and I had the house ultimate burgers which were crispy and hard . Just not the expectation of a burger at all. My youngest son had the kids chicken nuggets which to be fair he enjoyed but the baked beans were so dried out. No juice and were very much stuck together. All in all a poor experience

Wasn’t going to share my bad experience of my Mother’s Day ruined but seen as they have taken the £50 deposit for no show even though we did turn up, waited ages for drinks order to be taken, again for food and then when it finally arrived was all cold, we gave them another chance this time the food came out they had taken away the cutlery first time round and didn’t bring anymore with our second dinner and then second time round the turkey looked like all the ends that I wouldn’t even give to a dog and no stuffing, my husband returned his immediately without even touching it and I left mine after giving it a try. You couldn’t count the amount of countless errors that were made and now you take £50 from my card which I have had an email saying refund in process but that not instant! My advice to anyone is if you want shocking service and cold food then go otherwise find somewhere else.

Nice pub, is a chain but they had a good selection of food and drinks. Nice conservatory on the back/side onto the beer garden patio area. All a good size

I think all the good reviews must be fake because never have an experienced such shocking service and food.

Not sure If this place is under new management but not enough staff you wait over 1 hour for food, drinks orders none existent you go thirsty and when the food arrives it’s awful!

We came for a Mother’s Day Sunday lunch and it was busy but didn’t feel crowded. We had our reservation time changed a week before without being asked and staff were unable to figure out why this was. Once seated we had drinks and food orders taken quickly by our lovely server David. Unfortunately our drinks proceeded to take the best part of 40 minutes to arrive and required us to prompt staff multiple times before the drinks came. The food suffered the same issue, taking well over an hour from time of ordering to come, without anyone indicating to us that there would be such an extensive wait. Again we had to ask at least 2 times if there was an update on the food. Throughout all of this David was fantastic, friendly and very understanding and apologetic, and cannot be faulted at all for any of the issues. Once the food arrived, 4/5 meals (all roasts) were brilliant with great portion sizes and everything was hot and tasty. Unfortunately my order of the Lamb and Mini Lamb pie ( a meal costing significantly more than the roasts) was very disappointing with the portion size resembling a children’s meal, with 3 small bits of overdone lamb (ordered pink) a handful of cube potatoes the pie and a small pot of cold veg. Given its price this was extremely disappointing. David was quick to help and offered I choose a different meal and didn’t charge me for the Lamb. It was clear the waiting staff also felt my portion was small and apologised but explained that unfortunately that was the amount of food according to the spec. If true then charging £23.29 for such a small plate of food is unacceptable. Overall, the food was on the whole, very tasty, but the experience was severely let down by long waiting times with no updates or warning, and a very disappointing plate of food. It was clear that more hands were needed on such a busy day to make things quicker and smoother. All serving staff were excellent and were quick to rectify mistakes and were very apologetic about the issues we had.

Worst night ever Waites 30 mins for a drinks order to be taken Then over an hour after that for our food order People at the next table told us they wish they hadn't waited as it was awful So cancelled our order The waiter apologised and said no charge for drinks A full night ruined with our Son and 3 year granddaughter visiting us !

Excellent food and very professional staff

Very slow service and it wasn't because they were busy. We finished our starters snd were sat with empty plates for over 30 minutes and then the server came with our mains so we had to remove our empties so she could put the mains down. No Christmas decorations in sight (from our table). Food OK but service and ambience lacking we won't be back.

Fantastic service and brilliant food. David, (Acting Manager) was absolutely amazing. Made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. He clearly works very hard and has such a nice energy, made an already good experience into a superb occasion. Can’t thank him enough for his service and kindness. Give this man a pay rise!

It was very busy and there seemed to ge only 3 people working but what a sterling job they did OK we had to wait a little while longer than we would have liked but the meal was delicious and was served hot when it did arrive The staff were courteous and apologetic and still smiling even though they were so busy

Had a family get together last night it was great. There was plenty of choice for various diets, it was delicious. Jure our server was amazing he made our night he was polite, funny helpful even though he was obviously very busy and we got a discount. Well done to all highly recommend.

Came for lunch the posh fish finger sandwich was just unreal delicious fries. My mum loved it and she's so picky, wine was delicious. Love the traditional/modern vibe and the waiter was so friendly and attentive.

Popped in while visiting family in the area and was served by Joe. The service was impeccable from start to finish and the food was beautiful. Beers we'll kept and the bar was spotless.

The best Sunday dinner around. Try it. We came during the busiest time (around 2pm) and we was told there would be a wait on food, around 40 minutes. We new it was busy so didn't mind waiting. The dinning area was full to the brim. We ended up waiting 30 minutes and when it came woop the trio is massive and I ened up taking some home for my dog Garry. Very impressive.

Lucy is the best server I've seen in Harrogate. Legends will tell tales of this day. If Lucy doesn't get a 10-15% raise, it will simply be saddening.

Went with my husband and my mom. Amazing food. Burgers and lasagne to die for. The service was excellent. Both servers were very friendly. It wasnt busy and oneof them was pretty much showing my husband around. The one who served us. Unfortunately I don't know his name, even spoke polish. Made my mom's day. Made us laugh. He'd sell anything to anyone. Absolute pleasure to be there.

Visited for Sunday lunch, and the staff were incredible. Yuri was a top notch guy and went above and beyond. Food quality was great, although I wouldn't get the stuffing balls as an extra next time as the cost isn't worth it, but everything else was spot on.

Warm friendly welcome from the staff and the service was fabulous, the food was amazing. Four of us had food and drinks. My request for sitting by the fire was the reserved table for us. The food was cooked perfectly, piping hot and a bonus of a hot plate too. Everything was delicious 😋 will definitely be back very soon. Thank you all. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of the best meals I've ever had

5.30 on a Sunday and all out of roasts. Not the first time this has happened. Pizza oven not working either. No service had to scan and order.

First time here and wow just wow food was lovely. Order roast with all trimmings that much couldn't finish it and staff so welcoming and lovely got served straight away no waiting around would recommebd to everyone so nice 🙂

It's been a lovely evening. The changes are definitely noticeable. Lovely and fresh. The food is lovely and reasonably priced. You can order at the table via the app or order with the bar. Food comes straight to you not long to wait. The waiters are lovely especially Jure who was lovely and made my 2 and half year old daughter smile and made her a plane and another waiter made her an origami frog. Jure is lovely and chatty and definitely mad our experience lovely. Definitely come here again

Very disappointing! After ordering on the QR code on the table we had to go and ask for our drinks 20mins later, despite the pub being very quiet and the bar staff stood around talking. The food took a good 3/4 of an hour to be served and to be honest looked like a child’s portion! The pie was tasty but lacking in filling, no more than a handful of chips and a pitiful offering of veg. Very overpriced priced for what you got! Needless to say we went elsewhere for dessert! We won’t be returning!

I've given this pub a star because the guy at the bar didn't quibble at all when we said - after an hour's wait - that our food was inedible and we weren't prepared to pay for it. He also threw in our drinks free (one wine, one cola as there's no ale served here) although we offered to pay for them.

Food order took over an hour to arrive after multiple requests. We had to get our own drinks throughout the night. We were told no pizzas available even though we witnessed many pizzas being served. When the food was eventually served it was fine, we were all starving and rather annoyed by that point so I can’t really give a fair verdict.

Food was good but service was slow ut they did seem under staffed.

Dry bland food. Service shocking. Waited 45 mins for food. Then the order was wrong….and then we had to wait a further 30mins for my partners pie to come, so he had to eat by himself. We were offered a refund, then the bar man said we had to speak to the main management. Insane. The pie was dry, the fish was dry, mushy peas…literally a spoon full. Had to ask for cutlery several times. By far worst meal I have ever had

Visited today as a small group. Atmosphere was lovely. It was freezing outside but the manager made sure we were sat somewhere nice and cosy. So much choice on the menu. All the food we had was absolutely amazing. So tasty. Massive portions. The 2 members of staff working lunch on the 11.2.25 were lovely. Really friendly chaps. We will definitely return.

We went for breakfast, what a disaster. Honestly a 6 year old could cook better. My husband had full english and i had egg benedict both were awful and honestly you couldn't eat that breakfast. Coffee ( cappuccino) was terrible as well. Shame as we have been for dinner and food was so nice. Hope they will improve their breakfast otherwise it is not worth it.

We called in on the way home from Fountains Abbey having never been before. The service was very friendly and super quick. We sat by the fire which was quickly attended to, to make sure it was warm and toasty for us and ordered our drinks and an option from your bar menu. The food was delicious! Even though the bar was starting to get busy by the time we left your staff made sure to say goodbye and thank you to us too! We will be back.

Have always wanted to try as I passed many times driving back to my parents house throughout my time at Uni. I finally have a job in Yorkshire and we now have a new place to meet up. All 3 of us had delicious food and the portions were huge. The staff were all super friendly and the decor is welcoming.

Very helpful staff and fully aware of Gluten free safety regards cross contamination. My food was brought out with a GF flag in and on its own first. No fuss was made. The food was fresh, piping hot and tasted delicious and my hubby enjoyed his non gluten free burger also. Keep up the great work. Compliments to the staff.

After a previous disastrous visit waiting well over an hour for food I thought it was only fair to write a positive review. Visited twice over a weekend to eat. Excellent service, extremely friendly and welcoming. We weren’t waiting long for the food and it was piping hot and the plates had been warmed - extra points! 👍 A special mention for Jure (apologies on the spelling). First class service and nothing was too much trouble. Sort out the wine prices though please!

From the warm welcome we received when we arrived to leaving was fantastic. The food was hot, and very tasty and the service was really good, our young waitress Emily was an absolute delight. Price was pretty reasonable aswell for 3 people, 3 courses with drinks £130... Will definitely return. Only managed to take pictures of the starters as mains and dessert couldn't wait to eat.
