The best restaurants in Churnet Staffordshire Moorlands West Midlands

Didn't have food as I was there for a dog show. I did have a coffee which was nice but the inside of the Pavillion especially the toilets could do with a proper clean and like of paint.

Wonderful traditional pub

We came here after visiting Peak Wildlife Park. We actually finished visiting the park sooner than anticipated, and so I tried to call the restaurant to see if our table could be made up a little earlier; but for some reason, the phone wasn't ringing? Regardless, we decided to give it a shot and made our way. When we arrived, we noticed the car park didn't have many spaces left, but when we entered, it wasn't very busy. We waited at the bar for someone to come and show us the table, and we did have to wait a bit as nobody was manning the bar- this could be a bit better in the future Kindly, when a waiter arrived, they showed us to the table that was available, due to them not being busy. Our drinks order was quickly taken and arrived promptly. When ready, we ordered our meal and I really enjoyed the salmon!

This place does the most amazing Carvery and such amazing value. Proper fresh pub food and good beers as well. Great service and always friendly. Brilliant pub.

Lovely welcome from the young lady behind the bar, pub was clean and nicely decorated for Christmas too. Three beers on hand pulls, so a bit spoiled for choice. An excellent late afternoon session!
