The best restaurants in West Midlands

A small, dark and unassuming little shop. You wouldn't know it was open. In fact I walked past it twice looking for somewhere for food. But, pleased I did drop in. Was greeted by a lovely flavoursome smell, and I'm vegetarian. Various hot and cold deli items. Didn't seem to have too much for veggies, although I did find something I was happy with. Perhaps it was because it was fairly late in the day. Staff very friendly and prices decent. The shop itself looked a bit lacking but I feel, fine as a corner shop for essentials. I recommend. Don't walk past.

No nos gusta aquí. El personal nunca parecía saber lo que están haciendo. Las pocas veces que he estado han cobrado precios distinto, para lo mismo. La comida no siempre a la altura.

I liked the bar and also the lounge area... it's a friendly pub in terms of both customers and staff... Nice beer, with good parking...

A great place to meet up for a day out or just for a drink and food with speed boats rides weekends and bank holidays and lots more, also classic car shows once a month starting in April.

Had a few birthday cakes from here and have always been blown away by the quality. Ordered a minecraft cake for my daughter, it was one of the best cakes I've ever eaten and it looked fantastic! Will be back again!

Lovely welcome in from the staff, The roast beef was cooked lovely, served with lots of different veg. I had no room left for pudding.

I was visiting this restaurant quite often and I can say that it is much better now in relation to food. However, there’s not enough choice between soup which is annoying. They have only two to choose from. I would also recommend refurbishment of their restaurant. There are plenty decorations, for example on the walls and they just do not fit to each other. Most of them are looking cheap and it looks that ‘will we keep it just have anything on the walls’. They could make it more warm in relation to decor to show the Polish tradition. In overall, food is good and prices as well. I would just add more choice of food and not mix them with Italian kitchen!

We used to travel to Shap or Longtown for the best chip suppers, then we discovered the Morton Fryer. We used to think it was good, particularly because they sell Steve Wilson's steak pies. If you haven't tasted them, you haven't lived. Unfortunately, they lost our confidence and custom completely, the time when we phoned in advance to order four lots of steak pie and chips, and they completely destroyed them in the microwave. When I complained, they didn't even have the grace to respond. Back to Shap & Longtown.

Comimos aquí dos veces mientras nos alojamos en un albergue en el sitio. La comida es muy buena con porciones generosas (excepto una, la lubina, bastante cara y la porción es pequeña). La comida está bien cocinada y muy bien presentada. El personal es muy agradable, amable y servicial. Está en el primer piso con bonitas vistas sobre el río y caravana / alojamiento parque. Hay un ascensor para minusválidos. Para las horas punta que recomendaría reservar, fuimos en julio y estaba razonablemente ocupado. Gracias chicos por algunas comidas encantadoras.

La comida era increíblemente sabrosa y sorprendentemente abundante. Preguntamos y nos proporcionaron, fueron más allá. Después de preguntarnos si podíamos cambiar un elemento del menú y el chef procedió sin dudarlo. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente para salidas familiares o parejas que busquen una noche acogedora con buena comida. El personal es siempre 10/10 incluso antes de comenzar a servir comida.

We always make a point of stopping at this Tea Room when we pass Bridgnorth each year. Although there is a wait for the food to be freshly cooked to order, it is always of a good standard. This time we each had a jacket potato, one with prawns and Marie Rose sauce and the other with cheese and bacon. It makes for a nice leisurely break in nice surroundings before we continue our journey.

What a lovely way to spend our Saturday afternoon. Lunch here was lovely. The only critique would be the amount of crisps. 4 crips was a bit poor! Other than that the food was delicious. The tea was very tasty too. I’m very picky with tea. But This was lovely. Staff were wonderful and was smiling and seemed happy which is always nice to see. We will be visiting again soon. As I very much enjoyed the peace and quiet away from main cafe/bars.

Very good place to go on a date with bro. Food was absolutely idurabally delicious and the drinks were good too. Wait was fast and service was perfect. Would recommend
