This is a lovely cafe-restaurant serving high quality, yet affordable, food and drink. The surroundings are relaxing and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend you visit here.

A very disappointing birthday day celebration. Hotel sausage dog pooped 💩 next to our table. This had to be pointed out to the waitress. Took over 5 minutes to have this poop bagged by management, Who mumbled apologies and did not sanitise the carpet after. Very off putting which resulted in no one ordering pudding and no offer of recompense. Would not recommend if this uncontrolled inconvenienced dog is in the dinning room. Alison Canterbury MCIEH

The Queen’s Arms in Corton Denham is a charming pub—great beer, fantastic food (when it arrives), and a barman who was absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the head waitress, who let the side down in spectacular fashion. We ordered food at 10 past 8, and my steak didn’t arrive until 9.30. By then, I’d eaten so much bread to fill the void I was worried I’d have to roll myself home. When I politely raised the delay, she wasn’t having any of it. No apology, no acknowledgment—just denial. And when I suggested we shouldn’t have to pay, she flat-out refused. Denial isn’t just a river in Africa, it seems—it’s also on the menu here. Even though this was a poor experience, the Queen’s Arms is still a fantastic place, and I’ll be back. It’s a lovely pub with a lot to offer, and I look forward to giving it another chance and hopefully enjoying the meal it’s clearly capable of serving.

Family travelled from various places to meet for Sunday Lunch today, 18th August, and I am so pleased we chose the Old Inn to meet at. We were made very welcome, including the family dog, in the 'snug'. What a lovely room for a get together without disturbing other diners. The roast dinners were cooked to perfection and the puds were to die for. The staff were attentive and courteous and this is definitely going to be our place to meet in the future. Please thank the staff and chefs for a fabulous afternoon.

We visited the Queens Arms for lunch, with good friends, for the second time on Thursday 22nd August. It was very good when we visited last year. On this occasion we were asked whether everything was OK and I had to say that it wasn't and to explain that OK simply wasn't an accurate description. It was hugely better than OK. The food was really good. A shortish but really interesting Menu. Clearly quality ingredients really well put together on the plate. Indeed impeccably presented. And we were looked after by enthusiastic and seriously friendly staff. We arrived for lunch shortly before our 12h30 booking. We left at about 15h45!! It felt like we were eating in a quality restaurant in France, Italy or Spain. And whilst the Desserts didn't arrive quickly that was a bonus. It allowed us to continue talking and to continue enjoying sitting in the lovely ambience of this cracking establishment. We very much hope to return and unreservedly woukd recommend the Queens Arms. It wasn't cheap but it was definitely value for the money that we spent. And the Pistachio and Olive Oil Cake with fresh raspberries accompanied by a lovely tart raspberry sorbet and delightful white chocolate nibbles (they were called something else on the menu) was the best Dessert I have had in quite some time.

Christmas dinner party and there were at least 2 other parties there too. Staff were lovely. Food ok only critisism was my parsnip wasnt cooked enough, but considering they were catering for 50+ people I think they did very well. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening. Just 1 more thing..... please wipe the tables with something that does not leave a sticky residue.
