I recently visited this lovely pub after it was taken over by the new owners, and I must say, it’s an absolute gem! (We now make it a regular visit once or twice a week) From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel so welcome—it's clear they genuinely care about their customers. Not only do they provide excellent service, but they’ve also gone above and beyond to make sure my 1-year-old daughter feels right at home. They prepare healthy snacks for her while we enjoy our meals, which is such a thoughtful touch. The food here is fantastic, with the summer ploughman’s being a real standout. It's fresh, flavorful, and perfectly put together. Whether you’re after a relaxing drink or a hearty meal, this pub offers both in abundance. Great food and entertainment. At around £50 for 2 with a bottle of wine and drinks included it is worth paying a little bit more than you would in a pub.

Love it. Lots of choices and great food

Third time to visit this cosy, inviting restaurant. Once for lunch. They accommodated a walk in and food was served fairly quick. Staff were a little flustered due to a busy lunch setting but handled well. Would like to try one of the offer evening In the week.

What a beautiful ambience, then there is the excellent home cooked food. The 3 of us enjoyed a different main course and cleared our plates. David is a dedicated owner, chef and exceptional host. Good wines too and comfortable clean surroundings. Dawn has a lovely welcoming personality.

We attended as a group of 10 for a tribute night. We had one lady who was celiac and this was noted when we pre ordered the food choices. Our food was great, she was given Pasta in her stuffed pepper. We complained and the food went away, no alternatives or a free drink was offered or a full refund. Very disappointing as she was ill the next day. very disappointing!! We did enjoy the evening and the entertainment. (Take dietary requests seriously)
