Family run business, always welcoming and a very good atmosphere. Excellent food and service, Dog Friendly (our Beagles always enjoy their visit). Highly recommend visiting, enjoy. Also a good walk in the woods available to work off a great meal. Has become a regular weekly visit for us.

Please do not go to this restaurant if you want a vegan meal as I was only offered a plate of vegetables. When I stated that the menu said vegan options available I was told that there weren’t any. Can’t comment as to the quality of the food as I had to cancel my booking. They are not great at responding to emails or ringing back when they said they would.

Work Christmas evening meal. Very warm welcome and great staff. Traditional pub food, scampi, ham egg & chips, lamb, guineafowl, cottage pie. Veggie option of mushroom, leek & lentil cottage pie was very tasty. Came with carrots and brocoli on the side which were disappointing. Carrots scraped, brocoli yellowing and on the turn so didn't eat. Honey Hill is a very quiet, dark country road and the pub is about half way down. It has a large carpark. It's in a residential area not near anything else.

We stopped off here after a walk for breakfast and highly recommend. Its dog friendly and was packed at 10am on a Saturday which was a good sign. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a couple of the English breakfasts and a breakfast bap which was so tasty. The breakfasts was freshly cooked and not at all greasy. Great coffee too, highly recommend

Been meaning to try out the new Squire's Café for some time and my husband and I finally made it on Easter Saturday. We were met by a woman at the entrance of the café who said "Can I help you? I thought it was obvious that we were there for a drink and possibly something to eat. We got shown to a table in the near empty café and the woman who greeted us left us with a menu although we had already said that we only wanted a tea and a coffee. My husband ordered a decaf coffee latte which he said was not as good as the one he has in Nero's. My Birchall Mao Feng green tea was a teabag served in a teapot and was tasteless. Not a patch on other makes of Mao Feng green tea I've had and not as good as the green tea I get in Nero's or Starbucks. Halfway through our drinks a waitress came and asked us if we would like anything to eat which we didn't. Perhaps she thought we might change our minds. When we were finished we looked around to see where we could pay and finally managed to catch the eye of the woman who greeted us. She came with a tablet and proceeded to tap the screen a number of times and eventually came up with a total which she showed my husband and offered the the card payment device. Seemed like a laborious process for a couple of drinks! So we were very disappointed with the café experience and will not be going back other than for plants which they appear to have a great selection of.

Went in with high expectations. Really disappointed….. Service was terrible, food took ages to come. We ordered a flatbread, a salad, a bottled water and a Cappuccino. The coffee was barely strong enough, there was no ice for the water, the flatbread was tiny, over toasted, so more like a wafer , and the Waitress dropped half of the bread on the table. To be fair, the sandwich filling and salad were as you may expect, but it was too small, and simply not good enough for £21.
