The best restaurants in Abingdon Northcourt Vale of White Horse South East

We visited The Barns for the first time today for tea, coffee & yummy cakes. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. We will be back, certainly to enjoy their interesting lunch menu.

Arrived way too early. Tasted ok, but screwed up planning

churros undercooked and generally low quality food. meat lovers pizza had a strange taste and chicken was rubbery unfortunately.

Fabulous food and lovely atmosphere. Our server Jorge was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal, and went above and beyond when we came to pay and had an issue with a voucher we were trying to use. Despite us saying that we would be happy to not use the voucher, Jorge took it upon himself to go to his manager and get us the money off anyway. Great service beyond the call of duty that we were very grateful for!

It is one of the best Indian Takeway in Oxford. Service is excellent. Quality food and fresh everything. On £100 collection orders, I got 20% discount

Turned up without booking , even though it was busy they fitted us in , food was hot was very good , I’d highly recommend , I’d definitely go back

Not normally one for reviews but wasn’t pleasant… the sweet and sour wasn’t tasty.. it had no flavour and tasted so bland… the chips soggy and tasted stale… first time trying wouldn’t go back sorry

We thought we’d give this pub the benefit of the doubt after the much hyped so called Greene King ‘upgrade’ a year or so ago, which clearly hasn’t worked. There are no improvements, it’s still a truly awful pub! Clearly understaffed with rude staff, people still being served who were clearly drunk. We thought we’d sit outside but it was a horrible experience with people screaming & shouting, beer glasses scattered on the ground as well vomit. Just horrible. There are so many people living nearby who would like to use a local pub they could walk to but never go near this one, which is Greene King’s loss. Nearby residents would rather drive out of the area to a decent pub!
