The best restaurants in Hordle New Forest South East

We went for Dinner on August 26th (Bank Holiday). There was no atmosphere and the Restaurant was less than half full. We were asked if we had booked and told that the kitchen was closing early, it was only 6.30pm!! There was music in the Bar and outside although nobody was in either but none audible in the Restaurant. The staff seemed to be untrained and unprofessional and not at all welcoming. Some training is definitely needed. This used to be an excellent food Pub such a shame to see it has gone so down hill.

Staff friendly but breakfast arrived on dangerously over hot plates & bacon was so overdone. I like well done bacon but would have been embarrassed to dish this up & charge for it if I’d been the chef. Shame as their food prices aren’t too bad.

Lovely friendly welcome. A small menu but we really enjoyed the food. However, for me, the stars were Timothy Taylor's Landlord and Dartmoor's Jail Ale - what a fab twin beer act. Under new management since I was last here (10 years ago when it was awful) and the pub is looking spic and span inside.

Food good, staff friendly ,pub run down bad as it is part of a Premier Inn

Can't believe our local is closing. There is nowhere else to go that doesn't require driving. Such a shame. Its always busy there and the food is very good.
