After a walk around the local area, we stopped for lunch at The Red Lion in Boldre. We both had the Sunday roast option. It was really well cooked, nice and hot and such a good sized portion as to leave us fully satisfied. We accompanied it with a perfectly conditioned pint of Ringwood Best. The service was friendly and attentive. One couldn’t ask for a better way to spend a cold winter’s day.

Had a wonderful time at the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Full of history and in a beautiful setting. Everything was so clean and there is a beautiful spa and swimming pool. Had an Indian Head Massage by Amy which was the best one I have ever had. Worth going back just for that. Lovely lady and will be booking in with her next time we go back.

Great spot for a coffee and snack, really enjoyed a decaf and granola slice — such an improvement on the prior Costa offerings.

We ordered lunch here and I got an all day breakfast wrap, the wrap was not cooked properly and then my son wanted ketchup but we had to play 20p for 2 of them! Definitely not coming here again. Also a frappe medium was £3.20.
