The best restaurants in Plumpton, Streat, East Chiltington and St John (Without) Lewes South East

Such great food so tasteful & fresh! Saved it for my lunch for work & was so filling & worth it😍 need to definitely get it again! They even added chicken on my noodles for free too!

Sunday lunch in a busy restaurant. The restaurant worked well with dietary requirements in our group. Veg were well cooked, Yorkshire was dry but a good gravy to soften it. I had the turkey, there was also pork. Only I curry which was a sweet potato. OK but not amazing.

We had a really poor meal here, very disappointing. The fish and chips was meagre, the batter tasted unpleasant, we weren’t warned they had run out of peas so it was a surprise it came instead with a very small garnish. The “butchers sausages” were not good quality. We complained and the waiter offered free desserts + drinks which was appreciated. We unfortunately were also very cold at our table.

Sunday lunch was excellent. Traditional roast and nut roast were freshly cooked and supported with home cooked veg and cauliflower cheese. Our child’s macaroni cheese was well received. Harvey’s Best was just as a Harvey’s drinker would want. Thank you!

Great slick staff, £29 for roast shocking. Very disappointing ………. Red cabbage, cabbage etc thrown on plate, not worth £29

Absolutely beautiful place and the food was fantastic, I had a game pie which was delicious, the staff was also very friendly and good selection of larger.

Lovely bright doggie friendly cafe - really good value with a toasted sandwich /French fries or salad meal-deal and a hot drink for £7.50. Great relaxed atmosphere and friendly service 😊
