We had my uncle’s wake here and we all thought it was a beautiful venue. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The catering they provided was absolutely spot on. On an emotional day it was the perfect place to come together and celebrate my uncle’s life. I highly recommend The Barn

This is without doubt the best cafe in Aylesbury that I have visited. I have been coming here for many months and I defy anyone to find a fresher, tastier sandwich in town! The service is excellent - George, the owner is very friendly and very accommodating, taking great pride in all the food he serves - the food is fresh, tasty, beautifully cooked (to order) and well presented. I can highly recommend the all day breakfast and any of the freshly made to order sandwiches on the menu. The quality of the food represents excellent value for money - but as everything is made to order, please be patient as the food is worth the wait! Would highly recommend!

I had the mixed grill which was nice my partner had the lamb shank which was pretty flavourless to be honest didn't look anything like what the pictures show you just came out in a bowl with watery sauce I explained this to the waitress who then asked if we'd like a replacement which my partner just asked for the chicken burger which I only noticed on getting home that she'd charged me £20 for a deep fried burger which is on the lunch menu not the evening menu which is grilled chicken very cleaver of the waitress very disappointed as I live so close and will not be returning

Made to feel unwelcome ,had a reservation for 6pm and before we even sat down we were told we had to vacate by 7.30 we agreed and the lady then sat us down ,we ordered our food ,the waiter brought our food over and walked away ,we realised my husband’s dish was missing so we called him back , only to be told they are not cooking that particular dish today ,first we knew of that ,so we said what’s he supposed to do he has no meal ,so he was handed a menu to choose another dish ,meanwhile the rice and bread went cold ,the food was actually nice ,we had heard good things about this restaurant and we were treated appallingly. As soon as we had eaten we paid and left ,quite frankly couldn’t get out of there quick enough,so asked the lady who took our order why was a dish on the menu that for whatever reason the chef is not cooking ,she said she didn’t know that .

Service was lovely. Environment was cosy. Menu choices were good. Options are not expensive. Hash browns needed to be more crispy, and the sausages are bland (perhaps change the brand) Guacamole was made to order and needed salt, but took a long time. Something like this can be premade in the morning. Smoothie made fresh and was easy to drink. Would recommend for a cheap brunch!

Have you ever been made to feel unwanted at a hospitality venue? This place nailed it. Having booked Sunday lunch for my 82 year old Mother and I, we requested a children's menu or a smaller serving for my Mother who has a tear in her stomach making larger portions impossible. We were told she could order a starter. We left
