The best restaurants in Appleton Warrington North West

Called and reserved a table for 7 at last minute due to kitchen cancellation elsewhere. Staff couldn't have done more to fit us in and provide a tentative experience for us. Menu was varied and had a home cooked comfort flavours. Portion sizes well measured and suitable, not over facing. All plates cleared by party members young and old. Quick kitchen flips from order to eating, very impressive. We were checked upon after last plate placed, mid meal and post from front of house staff. A lovely low level buzz of atmosphere from general pub goers who weren't dining. Wouldn't hesitate to return with family and friends.

Had dinner twice during our three night stay at the hotel. On the first occasion (a Friday) it was a very good experience with excellent service. Unfortunately not so the second time (a Sunday). It wasn't busy but everything took a long time. They were so slow with the desserts that we thought we'd been forgotten about. We decided just to get the bill but then finally the desserts arrived. However we'd finished all our drinks, it was late and they were closing, so we had to decline them. It was a shame as the food on both occasions was pretty good and the staff were very polite and eager to please (and they were very apologetic about the poor service).

Very pleasant staff and a great atmosphere Food was absolutely amazing, it was very well presented and not only was the food piping hot so we're the plate's I will definitely visit again when I'm next up North.

This is by a million miles the worst place I have the misfortune of having to use. Put simply it’s a shocking place and the word disgusting does not come close to describing the the toilets. For the amount of money this place takes in every day the people who are running this total mess should be ashamed of themselves. An absolute disgrace. Trading standards should look at this. Avoid at all costs
