Food was really disappointing, we had Stilton mushrooms which were like a cheep Stilton soup poured over mushrooms, Philli cheese steak, steak was over cooked, and the cheese was cheap nacho cheese, pretty tasteless and gloopy, chicken and herb flat bread, chicken was over cooked and seamed like it was reheated and not fresh. All in all pretty poor. On the other had good location and staff were friendly.

Nice pub next to the canal. Great entertainment the day we went.

My original local, busy and a good atmosphere at night, relaxing during the day, situated alongside the Bridgewater Canal. Good selection of food and beers. Staff pleasant and attentive. Well worth the visit after nearly 40 years.

Lovely food we came here for a Sunday roast the portions were very generous and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to come back.

We went to a christening celebration one Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed it so much we plan to go again for a meal

We had a fabulous time - the staff are very friendly and always very helpful. The buffet was excellent value and the service was great. Recommend this venue to everyone.

I held a meal here in the Bridgewater Room for my birthday with family and friends. The staff was excellent from start to finish; Ellie and Will were on hand throughout the evening, serving food and taking drinks orders, and nothing was too much bother for them. The food was second to non and was hot and served to all 15 guests in a timely manner. I would, recommend here for a family occasion, and would not hesitate to book here again.

Went for a weekday evening meal. They have a good varied menu and the food is very good. It was just into the swing of quiz night so was starting to get lively. Would recommend.

Stopped for lunch as convenient & had a 4.3 * rating.. We all had different selections & sadly out of the dishes chosen only one was enjoyable... the whitebait.. sandwiches were appalling as was the soup & the mushroom dish... Wouldn't recommend at all... perhaps we just had bad choice or the chef was inexperienced or having a bad day ... The food was not even worth the 1 star rating given !

A lovely and cosy pub. Always a lively atmosphere inside with friendly staff. We have visited a few times before and will definitely continue to visit.

There was a good singer there we have seen before but she had the s peakers so loud my group couldn't hear ourselves talking which is the whole point of us getting together. I appreciate we normally like to dance there but it was too loud and you couldn't eat your food properly. It did make a big difference. We can't just stop and listen, we expect it to be more of a. Background music as well all have a chance to get together...1st time disappointed. Food was good as usual.

Situated alongside the picturesque Bridgewater Canal, the London Bridge has great food and beers, and the staff are welcoming and friendly - just the best ! The events and entertainment are fantastic- there’s something for everyone. It’s just the perfect village pub .

We waited longer than expected & when they arrived two meals had been missed, so they waited another 45mins for their meals, by this time the babies were so fed up & one of the babies has special needs, then when we were leaving two men were at the table one of which was taking photos of the floor and were we were sat, I can only question it was because there was a bit of food that the babies had dropped, I found this very strange. Plus our bill was £270 & they didn’t even discount a penny

Called in here with my wife for food.. The bar staff told us there was a problem in the kitchen...So there was a limited choice on the menu. We ordered and the food was lovely.. The bar staff were really friendly and the service was spot on. Will definitely be visiting in the future !

I hired their seperate room for my 6oth . The staff decorated before hand with my banners etc .The food was amazing. My guest ate the all the food on my hot buffet and commented how lovely it was.We were well looked after by friendly staff .Thank you to all the team and I had an amazing birthday 🎂

New years day visit ! Myself & my parents, lunch was lovely steaks delicious, desserts (chocolate brownies) delicious! Extremely lovely lunch, service faultless ! The guy from the bar & the young waiter (Noah) super professional helpful charming well mannered & just made out overall experience fantastic, I will return it's always a good time xx

Shocking Christmas dinner! Booked a table for 7.30 for a Christmas dinner as advertised. Got there to be told chef wasn't doing Christmas dinners tonight. Manager stepped in and said *we are' and went to have a word out back. Within 5 minutes or so our 1st course arrived. We were actually taken back how quickly it came. We both chose the Prawn cocktail with avocado. Dish arrived in a cereal bowl, we think half a pkt of frozen prawns had been split between us there were that many.. Now I love prawns but wow there were alot in the bowel. These prawns I believe had absolutely been microwave defrosted and ran under cold water to cool, as they were so tasteless and extremely bland. Very watery as in the cooling process had soaked up the water? There was 1 x small dollop of seafood sauce on top, with 2 x little gem lettuce leaves as decoration. No avocado as on menu. 1x small brown slice of bread cut into two, with pkt butter on the side. The Presentation zero. Taste zero. 2nd course. The Christmas dinner. 1 plate arrived with 3 extra thick, (generous I might add, slices of turkey) . 2nd plate had on 2 slices and not as thick. Portions not equal on both plates with turkey and vegetables actually. The slices of turkey for some reason was coated in some sort of gravy?? I believe it was to disquise the warmed turkey from lunch time maybe as it was so dry and had solid dried out unedible end bits. I have never been served turkey like it.. Why coat the meat with gravy what if I didn't like gravy? The 6 sprouts were obviously frozen and bland very watery and mushy. If not frozen then warmed /reheated cooked far too much that they splattered when touched. The carrot?? and parsnip?? I question because they were cubed and roasted to a point that we could not recognise what vegatable they were. That said they did taste nice.. Again though I presumed reheated and that why they had lost colour and definition as what vegetable they were. The roast potatoes were alright I guess, but could have been cooked just a tad longer really but they were edible. Again though, not the same amount on each plate, as 1 plate had plenty more on than the other. The stuffing was obviously made quickly with some stuffing mix and water and put under some heat just to create a very thin layer of crust on the top .. Again too watery, the undercooked bland and flavourless. On top of this seriously questionable Christmas dinner was some sort of flat burnt looking Yorkshire pudding! to be fair we couldn't work out exactly what it was at first as it was just dumped on top of the food! This went just like dust when broken as it was so dried out and over heated. A jug of gravy came with it again no flavour at all. I had to ask for cranberry so I could at least add some sort of toast to the whole meal I never use salt like ever.. But I had to add to help to eat .. It didn't help really. Not a good experience I wish the manager hadn't insisted on serving Christmas dinner when the chef wasn't prepared (even though was booked day or 2 before) and suggested another dish off the menu. That would have been so much easier than the rushed knocked up offering we got. At £20 odd quid each the disappointment was high. Unfortunately We did not complain or make a fuss about any of the food, to management or staff as we was on a first meal date, and so did not want to embarrasses or upset anyone at the time. I cannot express my disappointment enough about this advertised Christmas dinner and taking bookings for a quiet Monday evening was. I have to say staff front of house were lovely as usual friendly and polite. It's a lovely place warm and welcoming just unbelievable disappointed.

Iam utterly disgusted with the state of your woman toilet.it really is a disgrace.the smell was sickening ,worse than a cat litter tray which hasn't been cleaned in a month..disgusting and you should be ashamed letting folk using them in this state..I would be embarrassed !!

The food was lovely, the staff are really helpful and friendly; it's dog friendly (Which is always nice!) Inside where there's no carpet - but outside is just as good with the heat lamps and views of the canal

Brilliant Sunday lunch, family of all ages and dogs are all welcome. Very nice place to meet friends too as the atmosphere is always buzzing. Lastly, in summer is the perfect pit stop if you are “passing” with your boat as by the canal. Ps don’t forget Sunday Lunch has unlimited Yorkshires and unlimited gravy!! Beat that!

We had our wedding reception here on Saturday night. I just wanted to thank Anthony, Frank, Alan and the team for making it such a wonderful night. The buffet was absolutely fabulous. It was all very fresh and tasty and most of all plentiful. Everyone has said how delicious the food was. We always enjoy a meal at the pub and we will continue to support this great local. Thanks David and Dave

It was a very busy Friday night, the manager very quickly found us a table, bar service was good and food arrived in good time. Good size portions. Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely pub in the summer to sit next to the canal. Ate here Sunday and ordered two fish and chips. Fish quite dry had better. Good service throughout.

Fabulous food but the noise is deafening at weekends so struggled to have a conversation! Best cheese and onion pie!

Been here more times than I care to remember. Pop in. It's a good pub!

I ordered a chicken flatbread. The other 7 people in our group had all been served their food and were half way through- so I chased it - they’d clearly forgotten it - and one of our group’s “ Northern upgrade” too. It looked like it had been thrown on the plate - with half of it curled over and dry with no tzatziki on it - no where near as nice or as good value as souvlaki chicken at the Dorado lounge. Because we were outside we had to pay before the food could be brought - so couldn’t reduce the amount paid. The chicken tasted lovely and the seating by the canal is so pleasant - so it was really a disappointment. Luckily my daughter had some left over hummus I could put on it - but still couldn’t eat it as it was like trying to eat dry coagulation bread. My suggestion would be don’t serve fries with it- just concentrate on the flatbread and add more tsatsiki/hummus or pomegranate seeds to make it easier to eat and better value.

Came in on Saturday for lunch. Ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich, a burger and 2 salads. First of all they brought the cheese steak out on its own and we then waited around 15-20 minutes for the other 3 meals. When they eventual did come one of the salads came as a side salad after paying for the large one and the chicken on the burger and in the salad could have cracked someone’s skull it was that dry and hard. Staff are lovely and the pub is very nice. Just a shame about the food as we had heard good things.

Called in when passing for some lunch. I had the Gammon and other half had a Garden Burger. Thoroughly enjoyed it and very reasonably priced

Our second visit to the pub and just as good as the first! Good service, good beer and top notch grub! Good enough weather to eat outside looking out over the canal. Hope to return soon!

Didn't have what we wanted to order, so didn't eat there, but food has gone like any cheap chain of food.

Food took 1hour to be served and was blend.

I only visited this place once so my experience might have been the result of a bad luck. The servers seemed to be working very hard and were polite so the root of the problem must have been elsewhere. Yet it took over an hour for the food to appear on our table. The food quality was average.

Ordered the fish and chips unfortunately the fish was smaller than a childs portion with more batter than fish. After speaking to the staff one fish was replaced which was exactly the same which I had to eat with the cold chips snd peas from my original meal which wasn t replaced Highly disappointed

Friendly pub with good selection of spirits and beers. A little on the pricey side but OK for the area. The inside is well decorated with old local memorablia, and the outside has a large canalside mostly covered seating area.

A lovely pub especially in the sun seating outside is highly sought after the owner and partner and other staff are always clearing the tables and keeping an eye on the customers and you can take your dog with you if you have one 😜.

Unfortunately we went for lunch. Oslo prices for simple things like a burger. 8 quid for a flat bread. No simple sandwiches at a reasonable price which is what most people want for lunch. We don't all want a big meal at a big price! We left. No wonder it was nearly empty! Have they wondered why?

Ordered the steak medium rare and received it well done .also my friend who was with me and ordered fish-and-chips the fish was Overdone as well as the beans Where obviously not made fresh just heating up as they Had a skin on top. I understand that it was very busy but a restaurant/bar That has a steak on the steak on the menu should at least be a be able to you get the difference Between medium rare and well done.

Decent enough local. Can get v busy at peak periods. JW Lee's craft larger is excellent. Dog friendly with large, covered, canal side seating area.

Not a very pleasant young barman, asked a question and got a very snappy reply, Then blames other customers for he's reaction, he said customers asking him stupid questions was he's reason. First time visitor, now last time. Not going again..

Met up with family for lunch, food excellent as well as my pint of cask ale. Added bonus was the one man show.

Went for drinks with friends. Really warm , friendly atmosphere. And great outside space to sit. I didn't eat but the food looked excellent 😋

Great management. The food is good quality for pub food, and reasonably priced. Outdoor area gets busy in summer but for very good reason. Pie and a pint overlooking the canal 😍

Booked a couple months ahead for a large group of us with two dogs as the venue is supposedly dog friendly, rang a couple days ahead to make sure the dogs would be allowed in the restaurant with us and we were told that this would be perfectly fine. When we got there however this was a different story and we weren’t allowed to sit in the restaurant and that there’s no other space for us and nothing they could do. Got no help at all from the venue in trying to gather up some tables outside to fit us all in and even when we did manage to scrounge some free tables, no assistance was offered in pulling tables and chairs together (baring in mind we were with a group of 6 elderly and a pregnant woman) . To top it all off , they were only serving half the menu as they’d run out of everything else. Poor planning and absolutely shocking hospitality from the venue.

It was rather noisy but the meal was good!

My Daughter took me for a meal one Thursday tea time plates were cold food just warm. Will call again in a few months see if any change of not I will not go back and will tell my friends no change.
