Brilliant news landlord and exceptional service. Great pub with a fab garden.

This pub is about 5-10 mins taxi from home so do go there but only ever drank. I saw the food they were taking out though and it looked delicious. People I know has said the food was lovely which is why I've rated it 5*, ive never heard a bad word about the food. Lovely cold pints in here though and a garden with a play area for children. It's a family friendly pub and wheel chair accessible as well, no pesky stairs. They do also have a pool table as well. It's really nice sitting outside andntheyre dog friendly outside, there's shaded areas as well. The pubs it's self is lovely and clean, really warm atmosphere. The staff are amazing as well, dead friendly, polite and even when it's busy the bar keeps moving at a good pace. 100% recommend whether it's food with family or friends or drinks with your mates. Parking is on site and 5 minutes up the road there is a co op so if you need anything on the way home or run-out of cigs (if you're a smoker) you can get it. 😊

Heard Sunday dinner was good, came today and the Sunday dinner surpassed expectations, truly enjoyable and a good size too.....just to add, the gravy is out of this world!

In a nutshell, it just doesn't get better than this when it comes to a pub experience: Food: I had the homemade pie and the Sunday dinner and they were both fantastic. Only place where you can find a decent chip nowadays. Very good value for money with affordable prices and great quality. Cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets is an absolute must with the Sunday dinner. PS: To the previous reviewer who complained about the lasagna being microwaved: If lasagna was made to order instead of pre-made and microwaved you would have to place your order 2 hours in advance. Doh! Drinks: Very good selection of wines (yes they have New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon blanc) and the red wines are never oxidised when served by the glass, like in many other places. Gin and Tonic served in a Gin goblet like it should. Premisses: The premises have absolutely everything you want. From nice comfortable sitting inside to having a relaxed meal to a games area with more open sitting to socialise like the old days. Outside their beer garden is huge with children swings strategically placed in one corner so they don’t get in the way. There is also heating and a BBQ area. Staff: Super friendly, competent and simply cannot do enough. The place would not be the same without them. Ambiance: Proper community pub. All types of people and ages and everyone welcoming new faces.

Popped in at lunch time for a drink and bite to eat with my friend. Reasonable prices. Enjoyable food. Pleasant barman. Place was clean and tidy. Ample parking to the side of the building.

Need to turn the heating on. It'd be a new and exciting "experience" if I wasn't paying premium prices

I've frequented this pub for some years now and I've had a lot of great times and many laughs there, but the meal I had a week or so ago wiped the smile right off my face. Ordered a lasagne which was obviously microwaved as it was hot around the edges and stone cold in the centre to which I complained.. they agreed to make me another and sent out a lasagna that'd been roasted in the microwave to the point the edge was rock solid. I don't have a problem with microwaved food, but I do when I'm paying £10 a plate and it isn't even done right, considering I could've bought one from the shop for a couple of quid and actually cooked it properly. Such a shame

Beers gone rubbish and the staff always hang around the back end of the bar chatting when people are waiting to be served. Regular drug users in the beer garden on Friday and saturdays

A good local pub, above average pub grub and decent selection of beers. Well worth a visit. The rear garden is a real gem for lunch and a couple of beers in the summer.

Went in Sunday afternoon and won't be back,tables dirty,bad atmosphere. Kid eating its dinner on his own in middle of bar whilst it's dad was at the bar downing pints

We booked a birthday meal for a party of six. We phoned twice, once to book for 6pm and then to change to 5pm. When we arrived, we were informed that the chef was on holiday! Therefore, the kitchen was closed.

Wonkey pool table with its own artificial gravity, seven broken pool cues to come with it. Even at 50p a go didnt bother having second go. Couple of casino/bookie slots, amusements gone. Dart board set up for a dwarf. Its a food set up here but ive seen those reviews. Price of drink fine and a warm enough welcome

Had 3 tapas for £10. Tried Garlic mushrooms, salt and pepper chicken and fries with pepper steak sauce. Wasn't impressed to be honest, I know it was only a lunch time menu tapas deal but won't be having Tapas again from there. Service was about 15-20 minutes so it was alright, sat outside and all seems a bit dated there now. Was quiet for a bank holiday Monday only had a coke and friend had a white wine, drinks were fairly priced.

Pleasant staff and seem to have wainwright's ale on every time I've been in, and usually tastes fresh.

Went to the Farmers Arms on Thursday as a pre-Mothers Day surprise for a friend. Table was booked for 6pm, upon arrival we were told that no food orders would be taken for 30 minutes as there was a back log which was fine as we would have a drink first and wait. Almost two hours later we, and many other tables, we’re still waiting to be able to place an order with the excuse of “another 30 minutes” being used every time we asked. Eventually we were told there was a new chef and he was the only one working which was why there was a delay. Whilst usually this would be understandable it was the staffs unapologetic attitude to the whole thing that was the real insult, almost as if they weren’t bothered about nearly six tables worth of customers wanting to spend money on a meal out with friends and family. One chef on shift in a pub as big as The Farmers Arms is just unacceptable and shows poor management skills. Luckily we were walking distance from another pub who were very accommodating to us. Whilst I wouldn’t necessarily avoid The Farmers Arms in future I would advise that the staff and management are given some kind of customer service training and that management out something in place to avoid this happening again eg hire or schedule an additional chef to be on duty during busy periods

I have had some good times in this pub ,but they need to sort out the Bar staff, as barmaid continued to serve people who had been sat down already drinking dispite me waiting for over 15mins

New chef new Sunday lunch menu! £10 for roast add on pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese £14. Delicious. Best Sunday lunch I have had for years.

Regularly visit after band practice and the prices are reasonable, it's clean, and the staff are all really friendly. Nice out of town local pub.

Good friendly pup excellent food

Just returned from an office lunch at The Farmers Arms with nothing but praise for the food & service. Some chose the Xmas Menu (2 courses for £16, 3 courses for £20 with £5 deposits) and some chose from the Main Menu – no restrictions. All meals were delicious (all fresh veg, no processed food) and some couldn’t be finished (the xmas beef was huge in a lovely rich gravy, definitely recommend). Our reserved tables were festively dressed beautifully and the atmosphere was very nice, no loud music or televisions to disturb us in the lounge. The staff are so pleasant and accommodating, especially with a couple of cancellations, nothing was too much trouble. It was clear that they are very used to providing excellent customer service. Can’t wait to pop in again.

The Farmers Arms is the best pub in the Warrington area by far! Some friends and I were visiting the area and were so impressed by the whole experience. We had the most delicious food that was reasonably priced and generously portioned, whilst the service was an absolute highlight. Sharon and Leanne made us feel extremely welcome. Would definitely recommend this pub to anyone!
