The best restaurants in Pennine Chorley North West

Went into bakery today with some of our extended family. We planned to eat in but Unfortunately wasn't enough space for us all downstairs. Some of the young kids went upstairs to the other seating area to see if there was space for us but was met with the angry owner telling them to go back down. There was in fact a notice to say 'wait here if to be seated upstairs' which we didn't see. I apologised straight away but the lady (who I assumed is the owner/manager) was not happy and I felt from this point was extremely rude and bad mannered and made us feel very unwelcome and wanted us out as soon as possible! Half of our family paid for their food and was seated down stairs while we waited about 15/20 mins for our take away order. (Wasn't offered seating upstairs) In the mean time my young children are sat with their cousins, just talking together. The young girl taking our order on the till was lovely but unfortunately the service we received after that point was terrible!! The manager made quite a few remarks which made it very clear she wanted us out. She even followed me over to the table after giving my take away order and said 'She would get the door for me!' In a very condescending way. We were literally just getting our kids together and saying bye to family. Making a paying customer feel that way is not good. She was obviously not happy and having a really bad day but to put that on your customers isn't great. Definitely needs to go on a service improvement course 👍🏻 We will definitely not be going back there.

Went in for a treat for a special occasion. As my wife is blind they found us the best lit table in the place. The staff were super friendly and yet very professional. The food was amazing! Whoever cooked my stake was a pro! The atmosphere was brilliant and all very clean but loads of character. It well worth a visit!

Must have changed hands from last visit such a shame ,to be given a Latte straight from a packet and be told that a Flat White is just a spoon of coffee with milk and sugar . Asked about the coffee machine only to be told we can’t plug a coffee machine in something to do with the electrics ,found that rather odd we usually buy two drinks each and cake it’s lovely to see these little cafe when your out walking and give them your support but sadly I’m not paying for a packet latte.

Normally very happy but ordered the hotpot which I thought was a safe bet unfortunately only had one and a bit pieces of of meat.. Tasty but unfortunately no more than a starters worth of food. Mentioned to bar staff so hopefully things will change. For £19.95 I expect a lot more than I got.

Just stop off here for a bite of lunch. the steak and ale pie was really tasty. Staff really friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Excellent value food, especially Pensioner specials. Hope to come back soon

Came here a few months ago and the food was not great. Thought I would give it another go but I will not be back again! Food was below average and barely warm. Cheap but certainly not cheerful!
