Popped in for lunch had a pork pie, but really came for the cakes which were amazing. Portuguese tarts and Manchester tart. All food was great. Service was excellent.

The archetypal English country pub, serving great traditional food along with a fabulous choice of ales and other drinks by great staff in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent 👌🏻

Great friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, service and food first class. Prices not bad, worth the visit. Good setting, worth a walk up to the locks,

Must have changed hands from last visit such a shame ,to be given a Latte straight from a packet and be told that a Flat White is just a spoon of coffee with milk and sugar . Asked about the coffee machine only to be told we can’t plug a coffee machine in something to do with the electrics ,found that rather odd we usually buy two drinks each and cake it’s lovely to see these little cafe when your out walking and give them your support but sadly I’m not paying for a packet latte.

Great location for a canal side walk but the pub itself isn't massively impressive. It didn't feel very clean. Also, the staff said they don't stock red wine, so I guess that makes it the only pub in Britain to not serve one of the most common alcoholic beverages ever? If you have a dog though, it's pretty pet friendly so you'll love that. The views are lovely of the canal too.

Came here a few months ago and the food was not great. Thought I would give it another go but I will not be back again! Food was below average and barely warm. Cheap but certainly not cheerful!
