The welcome, service and food was superb. We went for my mum's birthday who commented how she would have thought she'd need to travel to the centre of Manchester not Buckshaw Village to eat in such a lovely place. Great accolade to help sum up the atmosphere and quality! Feel lucky to have this place on our doorstep.
Bought my Daughter and son in law a £20 gift voucher each for christmas .They visited today and tried to pay with both vouchers but were told they could only use one of the vouchers.Hugely disapointed I would of bought a £40 one if I'd of known this. Think this was a petty decision the vouchers had already been paid for in advance and the names of the recipents given.
Amazing country pub with great food and drink choices.
Plenty of choice on the menu, vegan/vegetarian options also. We had the fish and chips and the vegetarian wellington.
Friendly staff, beer garden and lots of parking spaces.
Will definitely return if passing or in the area.
The best gelato we have had in the UK by far!! Love the seasonal flavours. We usually get the tubs, and most of the time these are jam packed, however on the last occasion it was probably only half what we usually get, which was a bit disappointing, but we put this down to new staff and it being busy.
We have visited the restaurant twice & on each occasion enjoyed the food & atmosphere. Aisha was a wonderful host & made sure we were looked after & nothing was too much trouble.
The chaat bombs & mango kulfi went down an absolute treat……delicious!
Definitely will be coming back again & recommend this highly.
Four of us visited this restaurant for the first time on Thursday. We had a delicious 3 course meal, we all tried different things.
The ambience was good, the restaurant was nice and warm on a very cold evening and we all agreed that we would return again. My only small gripe is that the men were sitting on wooden chairs that hurt their backs after a while, I was very comfortable on my padded chair!
We found this cafe by chance & were going again this week 01/10/2024 what a cafe. The staff and volunteers (which they have over 70) are really friendly, & as for the food I haven't had a nicer Breakfast. The lady served this on a really hot plate which I was told about & its the first time my breakfast stayed hot throughout, my wife she had eggs on toast & she said the same thing hot throughout. I can't wait to go back & try something else...
IV been meaning to visit here for a while and I'm just gutted I didn't sooner. Vic is honestly the best baker! That's such a bold statement as I have a huge sweet tooth... Everything is made with so much care, thought and skill. The variety is exceptional I'm already planning my next trip to Macclesfield to get some more sweet treats!
Vic was really friendly too, she came out and checked we were ok and happy with everything and spared time to have a quick chat. It was apparent she has so much passion for baking and her shop which she has worked so hard on and it is gorgeous!
Highly recommend this place
I wanted to leave a review as I couldn’t believe there was even one bad review on here! Really delicious breakfast and great service, we had the steak rosti, which was cooked to perfection with a perfect runny egg! It’s great that there are a few different breakfast options on there, which typically you don’t get in other places. We even overheard someone saying “it was the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had” as they were leaving, so I know what I’ll be getting next time :)
Despite the cold outside, the bus is a lovely, quirky place to eat out. We fely very welcome and the food was fabulous.
There is plenty of parking and lovely garden area to outside to eat your food, when the weather permits you...
