The best restaurants in Great Corby and Geltsdale Carlisle North West

Visited half a dozen times in the last year. The owners know how to run a village pub/restaurant. Tastefully quirky interior design. Excellent but down to earth wine menu. Top quality cask ales. Dog friendly. Very convivial atmosphere and a range of seasonal events. But top of the shop s the quality of the food. Last night we had the best cheese soufflé ever. Then the tastiest lamb, perfectly cooked. It melted with tenderness and a happy organic rearing. The steak was sublime. We’ve covered many signature dishes in recent months and always come away delighted. Prices are reasonable for the quality delivered. Well done to the whole team. A must visit.

Pizza van in Local community hall car park, there most Saturdays. More to the point they're very good and keeping you informed via Facebook if they won't be there. Good selection of excellent Pizzas at reasonable prices,

Wonderfully cozy pub village pub, very friendly staff and tasty food. Dog friendly. Excellent for a chill Sunday roast in front of the open fire with an amazing atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Scones are normally fab but had a take away flat white today which was pretty bad and extortionately expensive.

A warm welcome from Jayne, Malcolm and the team. Homemade and freshly cooked,the food was amazing and great value. We had lasagne and Cumberland sausage.

Great place. Very good food and great portions too. Excellent choice of beers and always kept in perfect condition. Open fire in winter. Very child friendly but not dog friendly. That's why only 4 stars. Rooms are good and spacious too, clean and comfortable
