I called before a walk around the reservoir to check if it was dog friendly, I was assured it was. The lovely lady advised I booked as it gets busy. I booked and we was seated in the dog friendly area which was very cosy, cushions and blankets...which my daughter loved. Great menu choice, I had the cheese and onion pie and it was lovely ...the gravy was homemade mmmm. Good choice for my daughter on the kids menu. I will definitely be going back to try more food .....the chips are amazing! Thanks for a really good first visit.

My wife and I called in for lunch on a Sunday, having booked by telephone the previous evening. The Rock Inn is located in beautiful moorland countryside, what a view from the car park not just the restaurant, out westwards you can see the sea both at the Ribble Estuary and further north the sweeping Morecambe bay with the Lakeland hills in the distance, in between on the horizon Blackpool Tower! Staff were very welcoming and immediately felt the warming ambience of a traditional village pub. We decided to try the traditional Sunday lunch, my wife chose the lamb whilst I opted for the beef. Food arrived promptly was hot, well presented and of good portion size, we both decided on the apple and berry crumble with the most delicious custard I have had in a long time. Extensive range of drinks A most enjoyable lunch, and we will soon be back to try the midweek menu, would recommend without hesitation. Staff are a credit to the business.

The food was OK. There wasn't enough pitta bread on the starter and there was a bowl of olive oil.. did they miss the balsamic vinegar. Peppercorn sauce had a few peppercorns in the sauce but was bland and tasteless. Steak pudding and fish pie was OK. Downside are the dog owners who allow their dogs to yap until they give them food and the one who had her dog sat on her knee and then eat her burger.. maybe dog free areas.

Lukewarm soup and a stone cold roll. Took about 10 minutes to make a cup of coffee. Such a lovely cafe area but can’t say I’m surprised there are no customers. Gutted I spent £20 for food we couldn’t eat!

We stopped here for food following a walk round Wayoh Reservoir we all had the Sunday roast which was lovely and the children had the margarita pizza. Really nice food and reasonably priced. Would recommend.
