Great for party bookings. Enjoyed it. Very busy in bar. But never effected the function room. Very nice.

In COVID you had a certain process to follow, my phone was hopeless so had to order a different way. The lad was very helpful so i left him a tip, he had to leave early so i said to the girl can you absolutely make sure he gets this. I could see with the other staff she had a good old laugh about it. When i was leaving i tipped her because she served me aswell i didnt want to tip her after the ridicule i got but wanted to prove a point, THE GUILT was palpable, i knew i'd get some kind of reaction and boy was it worth it, i've never seen someone act so standoffish. A third guy served me, did i heck tip him, felt guilty about not tipping the oldrr gent nut id spent enough already, the other two had to leave early but i wasn't tipping because i hoped there was a bit of wtf'ery between the members of staff and slight headscratching, worth it my my eyes as the woman annoyed me and i don't think she realised i cottoned on. See the thing is in the service sector, so many staff think they're superior to the customers, i've seen this with my own eyes loads of times, that woman saw fit to ridicule my nice gesture, why i'll never know but if i wanted to i could have run rings round her, she was young, naive, arrogant, she'll grow out of it with a LOT of time, thats why i'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and leaving this review instead of walking in again and revisiting the episode in not a very nice way, not everyone's as nice/petty as that but she's young so i'll leave it at that.

Shocking that they now charge 10p for a bag of scraps!!! After all it’s only the batter that’s dropped of the fish your buying anyway!!!!Always been a good chippy in the past but definitely not as good as it used to be, it’s worth the 5 min extra drive up to Paul’s at the spitfire roundabout thornaby, portions huge and you only need 1 portion of F&C for 2 people!

Absolutely gorgeous!!!!! Food is 10/10 and service was exceptional. I was served by Molly who absolutely amazing and made my experience unbelievably lovely!!! She was very attentive and friendly. I will be returning to try more on this gorgeous menu
